I’ve been sitting on this for a while now and I’m so happy to be finally introducing “How You Feel” an extension of @betterthanyesterdaysocial to all of you Our team consists of some really amazing and talented creatives, I’m so grateful to be working alongside them. They have so much to offer and it’s been a blessing just knowing them✨ I wanted to work with like minded creatives to bring to life a specific space for performance art, including: Open Mics, Concerts, Music Workshops, Jam sessions & more. How You Feel was created to facilitate an environment for overall expression, community and growth. As an extension of my organization “Better Than Yesterday” How You Feel will serve as a catalyst into a new chapter for primarily Black & POC Creatives. This year we are honoring several different women as we felt the need to shine light on them. I’m not good at year reflection paragraphs, but I thought it would be appropriate to post because even though 2025 put me through it, some really great things also came out of it. This isn’t everything, but some moments that were significant to me. It’s been hard for me to celebrate anything because of everything else that has happened, but I launched an extension of my art organization Better Than Yesterday @betterthanyesterdaysocial by the name of The How You Feel Series @howyoufeelseries alongside some amazing creatives @fresauncut @naeadjoa @marimocha_ Throughout my childhood I wrote songs, played guitar, performed anywhere I could. For a while I neglected that part of me and wanted to create something for people who love to make music, but maybe lost inspiration, for connecting with other musicians + performers and just to be in a space of love and passion. I’m grateful that I was able to work with my team in making this dream come to life. Extremely grateful to have had an idea and people who felt like it might be something they want to dedicate their time to as well. Thank you for supporting both Better Than Yesterday and The How You Feel Series, thank you to my team for sticking through the year with me and coming through when you could, thank you to every photographer, DJ, performer, videographer and vendor who’s helped to make all our activations come to life. I look forward to what’s to come, thank you for believing in our vision and thank you for believing in me. ♥️
