Hi friends, I’ll be playing my first show as Hover in nearly 2 years this Saturday as part of the @nitroglycerine.mp3 unofficial SXSW show at @friendlyriomarket It’ll be a short solo set matinee with a new set up, some rearranged songs, and maybe a cover if time permits. How Lucky I’ve Been, the last single from our album Pulled From Memory, will be out on Friday, 11/29. This is the first song I wrote after leaving home to go to college, and has been a favorite ever since. It’s gone through tons of development to end up where it’s at, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Listening to it now, the sentiment of the song rings more true than ever. I’ve been taking some time back at home in Houston to take stock and tie up the open ended projects cultivated throughout my years in Austin. Looking back on that period, I honestly get a bit overwhelmed considering the breadth of experiences I got to be a part of. It was such a vast time in every way, and I feel so fortunate to have played so many shows and gotten to know so many of y’all. This fall has been a time of realignment for me and a lot of people that I know, and this song has come to encapsulate that for me. A million thanks to @ruustysantos for providing the stellar mix on this one and @ramblecreek for capturing us so clearly way back in the day. Thanks to @ellieasievers @joshliuviolin and @hudson_schill for providing strings. Cover art and mastering by me (@mattabajian ). Endless is out now! Big thanks to everybody who has already listened and a huge thanks to everybody involved. The next single is well on its way and should be out soooooon. Don’t forget that we’re big chilling in Chicago this weekend with back-to-back shows! First up it’s @mattabajian and @casey.l.boyer with some experimental electro-acoustic music at @tritriangle , then it’s three piece Hover (running it back old school with the sampler) featuring the aforementioned duo and the legendary @peter_vanb ! Big shout out to @johnson.rockstarr , @tv__buddha , @godstarmegamax , @___mair____ , @artificial_fiend for putting these shows together and inviting us out. Big shout out to @ramblecreek for recording our shenanigans way back when. Tracking and listening back to Endless (and everything else) during those sessions was one of the best times I’ve had as a musician, and I’m so glad the evidence is finally being released to the public! ALSO, huge shout out to all of y’all who’ve stuck around for long enough to see this thing come out! Endless is scheduled to release on Tuesday, 2/20. It is the first single from our upcoming studio debut, Pulled From Memory, which you can expect to release in late March/early April. You can hear the prerelease debut of Endless tonight on @kvrxaustin around 10:50pm. These recordings have been a long time coming, and we’re incredibly excited for them to finally be released for all your ears. Endless was recorded live at @ramblecreek studio in Southwest Austin during the November 2022 sessions for Pulled From Memory, with vocals being recorded in our home studios the following December. Since then, it’s gone through many iterations until landing on a form that we think is most representative of our live performances and the great times that we’ve had playing for you all across Austin. Endless was performed by @casey.l.boyer @peter_vanb @n0ahsim0n @jaegarciah and @mattabajian , and it was mixed and mastered by @mattabajian . We hope you enjoy listening!
