Hard to believe we've wrapped up another successful #HousingCentral Conference. Thank you to the many delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and everyone else who took part. See you next year!
Hard to believe it's the final day of 2025 #HousingCentral! Thank you to our two final keynote speakers - Harrison Mooney, author of the memoir Invisible Boy, and Jay Kiew, change fluency expert - for powerful and insightful presentations. And we're glad the conference could once again host an Art Expo featuring the work of many talented local creatives.
Day 2 of #HousingCentral! So many inspiring ideas being shared and connections being made. This morning we had an insightful conversation between writer katherena vermette and journalist Shelagh Rogers. And at lunch, Dr. Antony Wood joined us for a fascinating exploration of the "explosion around the world" of tall-building construction. More to come on the final day tomorrow!
A great start to the #HousingCentral Conference! The morning plenary was packed to hear a welcome from Elder Shane Pointe and remarks from AHMA CEO Margaret Pfoh, BCNPHA CEO Jill Atkey and CHF BC CEO Thom Armstrong. We also heard from BC's housing minister, Christine Boyle, Gregor Robertson, Canada's housing minister, and CBC host and science communicator Anthony Morgan.
