🚨 The Governor’s May Revise was just released, and unfortunately it lacks new investments in affordable housing programs.
A coalition of 100+ organizations is calling on the Administration and Legislature to invest at least $3.3 billion in affordable housing and homelessness programs to help Californians stay housed and expand access to affordable homes.
⏰ Now is the time to act. Contact state leaders and urge them to prioritize affordable housing and homelessness investments in the final budget:

California can’t afford cuts to affordable housing & homelessness programs
🏠 Fewer homes = more people without housing 📉 Cuts now = higher costs later
These critical programs must be funded in this year’s budget and we applaud the Senate for prioritizing affordable housing and homelessness in their Budget Proposal. We’re calling on state lawmakers to make sure that billions for housing construction and homelessness response make it into the final budget.

Another win!🎉 Our co-sponsored bill, AB 2146 (Stefani), has passed the Assembly Housing Committee. The bill removes duplicative and burdensome documentation requirements that can delay or block access to supportive housing. William Goodwin, one of our Residents United Network (RUN) members, testified about his journey from homelessness to affordable housing.
👉AB 2146 (@asmstefani ) is a meaningful step toward cutting unnecessary red tape and making it easier for people experiencing homelessness to access housing.
