In 2020 at 6 months pregnant I decided to make one single quilt, just one, for my daughter’s future bedroom. I was inspired by the ombre puff tutorial @loandbeholdstitchery shared on her blog. “Just one quilt” I thought…but life had other plans.

I got to host seven absolute POWERHOUSES in the gallery last weekend, and got to witness their unbelievable creativity and dedication to their craft as I demanded 15-hour workdays and when they got distracted stood on a milk crate in the centre of the room singing Queen songs at the top of my voice.
Just kidding. It was only 12 hours of work each day and the music was curated by Spotify radio, which absolutely came through for us. The completed coats are as immaculate and unique as the wonderful women who created them.

In her full glory…also using the Kaffe Fassett x William Morris sateen as a backdrop is so bougie I could die. Tulip coat pattern in the works for this fall!!
One of my favorite commissions is this sunrise coloured gradient duster I made for Andover Fabrics. It was featured at the H+H Americas a couple years ago and I’m still so proud.
Staring at the florals in this Kaffe Fassett coat like if I believe in jt enough it will manifest spring outside. It’s May, where’s the warmth already?!
And don’t worry, the tulip coat pattern is in the works!!
This rainbow gradient patchwork Quiltcoat was made for an amazing woman in Norway who not only commissioned me to do this piece for her, but then organized a whole quilt coat workshop out in Norway this summer! I super duper cannot wait!!!!!
All dressed up and ready for a day at the gallery, but first here’s a quick curator’s tour of this pink and orange commission for a 17-year-old on the occasion of her birthday! Made to be used, abused, and dramatically thrown across a bed.
