Mr. Perry, it was an absolute honor to be entrusted with designing for your 2025 #MetGala debut. Your continued commitment to lifting others as you rise—intentionally sending the elevator back down—means everything to artists like myself. For that, I remain deeply grateful.
The overcoat created for Mr. Perry paid homage to none other than the iconic @andreltalley . The pinstriped gemstones symbolized both the elegance of Dandyism and the poetic resilience of rainfall—each drop a nod to the beauty that emerged from the storms he endured.
Thank you for yet another opportunity to share my craft with the world.
And to Ms. Wintour (@theannawintour ) —thank you for allowing me the privilege of designing for such a historic moment. I am fully aware that you both could have chosen any designer, and yet you chose us. I do not take that lightly. I am forever honored.

When @iamjpfoster gave me the green light to design a suit for the release of his FIRST solo book, “The gospel & my black skin” I immediately went to the drawing board of how can we translate the book to a suit?
My first mind went to those who came before for us loud and proud to represent their black skin so my mind went to the panthers and how they would always be in all black! The cut and color inspiration came from them. The red ghost line it up not only pulled in the redacted lines of the book cover nodding to a stolen legacy but also the blood & the trinity in the shirt pant and jacket…No matter what the movements, it came back to perfect alignment.
To you it may be just a suit but to me, it’s hours of research and rumination. Thank you Dr. Foster for trusting me with that moment. It’s always an honor!
