I always appreciate the opportunity to work in different styles of music, and I was honored when the @kitchendwellers team asked me to create a poster for their run from Santa Fe to Austin. With the the band being from Montana and into wilderness aesthetics, I had a blast leaning into that with this piece. Their album is full of imagery, symbolism, and exploration, so I envisioned this giant mystic fox as a guide through some kind of limbo. The thicker strokes in the linework are a bit of an expansion of horizons for me. I still love keeping things clean, but with all the AI out there now, I’m having fun leaving things a bit more analog and gestural as I do when drawing with pen, markers, and paper. In places where I began to refine and redraw, I found myself backtracking to the life my original sketch had. I think you’ll be seeing more of my hand in my work to come. We rang in the new year at Little Rock’s hottest night club, the emergency room! 🎉😅 Fawn got a tib-fib fracture from a rough go with the stationary bike, but is proving to us all that she is indeed the toughest little girl in the galaxy. It’s times like these that @housebear and I get a fun little perspective shift on the things that truly matter. Here’s to a year of resilience and focus on having fun with our little family. (And hopefully less broken bones 🤞🏻)

Here's a trout appreciation post. I've been so grateful to rediscover my love of fishing this year after not doing it for 30 years. I've caught several species, but so far, trout has been my favorite. Each one of them is its own unique canvas, and the myriad sizes and colorations make them incredible to behold. The first 3 photos are from my largest trout to-date thanks to the kindness of the gentleman who had been fishing next to me and joined in on the adventure of bringing him in. @buckashcraft , thanks so much for taking the photos, videos, and working the net! Here's to many more amazing trout to come!

It’s officially been one full year of lifting super heavy things for fun with @housebear . I think it’s going well. 💪🏻

This one was a blast to make. I remember trying to figure out “Dammit” on the guitar in my garage as a teenager after hearing @blink182 for the first time on late night MTV. I wore their first few albums out, and got their first album with Travis Barker the day it released (the guy at FYE had to open the box for me because they hadn’t stocked the shelf yet). Soon after that, they became one of the biggest bands in the world. It feels insane to me that, all these years later, I got the request to make a poster for them. I love it when things come full circle. The icing on the cake was getting to actually go to this show and see them and @alkaline_trio in my hometown. Alkaline Trio was my first show at Clunk Music Hall in Fayetteville decades ago when they opened for MU-330! For the Missionary: Impossible Tour, I thought it would be fitting to have a deranged saint-esque figure — in this case, siamese cat nod to Cheshire Cat. Our area is renown for mountain biking, so I incorporated cycling elements for his halo and frame. In his hands, I gave him both a Black Apple (native to Benton County where the venue is located) with the leafy stem on, honoring The Natural State, and a diamond for our other moniker — The Diamond State. @vahalla absolutely crushed it with the print job. The regular version looks fantastic and the gold foil version turned out just as I had hoped. So rad! I had a really fun private commission last year. For the past 40 years, my Father-In-Law has carried the ticket stub from his blind date with my Mother-In-Law. They saw The Police at Assembly Hall in Illinois and the rest is history. As a 40th Anniversary present, he commissioned me to recreate the ticket as a poster, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Drawing the ticket details and wear patterns in the paper was a blast. It’s always a pleasure to get to create something for @wilco . When I had the option for Ogden, Utah — maybe it was because I had just watched Jurassic Park with my kids, or possibly just because I’ve always loved dinosaurs — I had to take the opportunity to celebrate the incredible fossils found in the state. I learned that the Allosaurus is actually the state fossil of Utah, so it became the star of this poster. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. When I first heard @lsdunes , I was instantly hooked and amazed at how well these incredible musicians from some of my favorite bands had come together so seamlessly to create something new. When they asked me to make the artwork for their “Like Magick” tour, I was thrilled, and based the illustration on the artwork for their latest album, Violet, which is just one banger after another. I'm so excited about this latest release with @themoorartgallery and @sideshowartprints This Crazy Taxi poster is officially licensed by @sega , and having grown up a Sega kid through and through, this is a dream(cast) come true. This game was a blast and had a killer soundtrack, and to get to be a part of it in some small way is an honor. The prints themselves turned out so nicely, and there's a spot gloss varnish on the glass elements that gives a rad effect. Thanks to everyone involved with making this come to life!
