TOMORROW! The amazing Roger Langridge (@hotelfred ) will be signing copies of his brand new comic series, The Muppets Noir! Join us from 1-2pm (Saturday 21st Feb). In addition to the first issue, we’ll also be releasing the next of our special anniversary prints celebrating our 40th birthday. Roger drew us this illustration to use on our paper bags several years ago, which have been incredibly popular, and we feel an important part of Gosh! history. On Saturday 21st February 2026, we welcome comics superstar and Muppets veteran, Roger Langridge (@hotelfred ), for a signing at 1pm. We’ll be celebrating Roger’s return to the Muppets comic with the newly released, The Muppets Noir. Grab a signed copy of the first issue at the shop later this month.
As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we’re releasing a special print every month for the entirety of 2026. We’ve worked with Roger to release a signed square print for February, releasing on the day of the signing, a black and white digital print at LP album size that features a familiar image to regular shoppers at Gosh! Roger drew us the illustration that has featured on our paper bags for several years. We love the drawing and feel it is such iconic imagery of the shop, appropriate that it releases during the same month as our birthday.
You’ll be able to pick up a copy of the print when you attend the Muppets signing on Saturday 21st February, but you can also pre-order a signed copy from our website by clicking the link in our bio.

LA GRANDE AVENTURE DE LA FAMILLE CRIMINY
Dans une esthétique qui puise ses racines dans le burlesque et l'imagerie des cartoons des années 30, cette œuvre déploie un univers à la fois onirique et foisonnant. Le récit s'articule autour d'un voyage imprévu, où l'étrangeté des lieux rencontrés devient le moteur principal de l'action.
Ryan Ferrier construit une narration rythmée par des rencontres insolites et des situations qui défient les lois de la physique. Le scénario privilégie une approche visuelle forte, laissant une place prépondérante à la découverte de territoires inconnus et à l'expression de l'émerveillement.
Le dessin de Roger Langridge, caractérisé par son dynamisme et son expressivité héritée du style slapstick, donne vie à des créatures et des architectures singulières. Son trait soutient une atmosphère qui mêle la fantaisie débridée à une certaine forme de nostalgie graphique.
L'album explore les thèmes de l'exil et de la solidarité au sein d'une cellule familiale projetée dans l'inconnu. Les auteurs maintiennent une cohérence stylistique qui transforme chaque planche en un tableau détaillé, propice à une immersion totale dans cet ailleurs fantastique.
C'est une épopée graphique qui célèbre l'imaginaire pur à travers les pérégrinations d'une famille hors du commun.

Alors que la famille CRIMINY coule des jours paisibles sur leur île pacifique, les voilà expropriés par des pirates qui s'emparent de leur foyer. Plongés dans une odyssée où ils vont affronter l'inconnu et des créatures fantastiques, ils tenteront désespérément de rentrer de survivre au capitalisme de leur univers et de rentrer chez eux.
Mazette ! Le lecteur de comics 2025 a t-il envie de lire une aventure en apparence destinée aux enfants et influencée par les cartoons Disney des années 30, entre deux tueries de Garth Ennis, Ed Brubaker et Brian Azzarello ?
La question elle est vite répondue : LA FAMILLE CRIMINY lorgne vers le comics intergénérationnel comme le BONE de Jeff Smith à qui cette histoire doit beaucoup. Publiée par Dark Horse aux Etats-Désunis du psychopathe orange mécanique, LA FAMILLE CRIMINIY se distingue par une lisibilité formidable des dessins pleins de fougue et d'inventivité de LANGRIDGE, une signature visuelle originale et atypique.
Le scénario de FERRIER quant à lui ne démérite pas : humour, ironie et naïveté en chausse trappe où les personnages découvrent que le bonheur des uns fait le malheur de beaucoup d'autres.
Quant à l'édition VF, c'est aussi de la belle œuvre quant au choix du papier doux au toucher, capable de faire ressortir les douces couleurs de Langridge et sa couverture toilée.
Outsider de cette année comics, LA FAMILLE CRIMINY monte discrètement sur le ring et pourrait bien vous mettre KO dès sa sortie le 7 janvier prochain.
