Today only feels fitting to announce my long-awaited comic, SUMMERWEEN! 3 short stories of terror written by yours truly, with cover art by @ernesto.cavel . This is a labor of love for me, writing horror tales and commissioning REAL ARTISTS to bring these stories to life. Though being a lowly comic shop guy, I will need help seeing SUMMERWEEN come to fruition. Look for the Kickstarter page to launch at the beginning of 2026, along with the physical and digital edition of the comic dropping in the SUMMER.
I'm extremely excited to finally unleash these creepy stories on you all, and I want to keep SUMMERWEEN going into more issues. That means more original artists' involvement and more fun incentives for backers.

This one is for the late Sam Kieth. His work on Wolverine really shaped my favorite art style. It was one that I enjoyed most in the comic book medium. But it was his work on THE MAXX that truly inspired me to dream big. The Maxx felt like a superhero comic created by David Lynch. Sam's style was sharp, large and detailed in only a way he could pull off.
My buddy @skinneth scored me this first issue that came back a 9.8! I'm always looking for issues to complete this run in every city I visit.

As for Sam, knowing we'll never see any new work from you is heartbreaking. Enjoy that big outback in the sky.
