The Tina choker has been one of the centre pieces of our Bad Girls choker collection for a few years, luckily we were able to source quite a lot of scraps of this premium Italian bad leather with croc embossing. The edges are hand painted with a color mix we make ourselves.

COME AS YOU ARE
Session No.03
This morning, on my way to the coffee shop near my flat, I noticed a framed picture on the wall. It said: “Filter coffee, not people.”
It stayed with me.
I thought about this portrait series, Come as You are, and about the way it has grown. I photograph every person who reaches out and follows the process. No selection based on background, beliefs, past, or allegiances. People arrive as they are.
No filters for people.
Only light, time, and the courage to be seen.
I don’t believe we change the world by rejecting people. I think we have to challenge ideas, sometimes strongly, but still remain in relationship with one another. That requires staying curious, present, and willing to listen, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Understanding begins when we stay in the room together.
These portraits are not about agreement. They’re about presence. About allowing someone to stand in front of the camera without being reduced, corrected, or simplified.
As the year comes to an end, I’m wishing for more human contact, more nuance, more acceptance, and more love. Less filtering of people. More willingness to stand together and look at one another… as we are.
I aim with generosity and extreme precision.
