HOOP CHIPS

As co-founder of the local community basketball club @hackney_jedis_bball , Korea-born, London-based @henwoo89 became frustrated at the long, bureaucratic process of raising funds for the team. The HOOPCHIPS story is one that resonates with all of British Basketball, especially at the grassroots. The brand was founded by Hee-Won Cho in April 2025, who alongside Grant Ebanja, have been important pieces of the Hackney Jedis, helping to provides 100s of young people with the opportunity to explore their potential through basketball. As is with many grassroots clubs, finances for facilities had become increasingly more difficult to attain due to public funding cuts and the ever increasing cost of living. So, HOOPCHIPS was born, as a means of helping towards the funding for those same courts and to continue providing young people with the spaces they need to grow and flourish with 23p per pack going towards supporting youth basketball.
