When I saw this dress, I knew I wanted a maxi skirt, but wasn’t sure what to do with the rest of the fabric. It was either a matching top or a durag . I love how the durag came out… I will be turn into a Top another day lol. That is the beauty of up cycling ♾️✂️✨

I was part of the student competition @africanfashionweek and the theme this year was recyclable materials. I learned a lot not only during the construction of my piece, but during the competition itself. I came in 3rd & got a new @janomecanada machine which i can’t wait to try!
