This summer, join us for an immersive papermaking intensive lead by guest artist Andrea Paterson! Explore cotton, abaca, kozo, wheat straw, and hay as you transform raw fibers into expressive works of art. Using both Eastern and Western techniques, you can expect to experiment with inclusions, pigmentation, shaped sheets, double couching, and more—all with a focus on sustainable studio practices.

2025 was an incredibly busy and exciting year for us! From hosting classes in gardens, during retreats, and on hot parking pads to finally opening our new studio in Bridgeport, 2025 was full of movement, inspiration, and a lot of grit. Here are our top five moments of 2025!✨
#5: We spent a weekend with the @wild_yams during their retreat at @acreresidency 🧡 together we taught these incredible artists and their children how to make paper.
#4: We hosted our first Open Studio session in October, welcoming folks from all skill levels—from those who have never made paper before, to individuals with years of experience, searching for a studio home.
#3: As a studio, we took a field trip to visit our friend and mentor Andrea Peterson’s farm @hook_pottery_paper . While there, we got to plant ireses and collect walnut skins to be used later for dye and pigmenting.
#2: We were featured by the @chicago_reader
#1: In September, we officially opened the doors to our papermaking studio and papermill in Bridgeport. Still haven’t been? We book workshops, classes, private, studio sessions, and tour!

Last weekend we went on our very first field trip! We brought our friends and community with us to visit friends’ Andrea and Jon’s homestead, Hook Pottery Paper @hook_pottery_paper , during their annual farm sale.
As a group, we got to replant Irises, which will later be used for papermaking; collect walnuts, for dyeing; eat lots of snacks and fresh produce; and hang out with the barn animals.

Hey last day of our open house with @hook_pottery_paper we moved inside and have an amazing spread of veggies, fruits, paper and pottery open 10 to 5 CST. we had our first little snow of the season but it’s still nice in our Mediterranean climate greenhouse come on out I’ll be talking about our greenhouses and giving tours. #smallfarm #eatlocal #greenhouse #regenertiveagriculture
