This month from the 8th-31st, I’m running 98km for @medicalaidpal - please donate if you can - link in bio
I’m fairly new to running but if I’ve seen you in the past 18 months, I’ve probably bent your ear about it. What I’ve not shared before if that every run I find myself alone passing along the quiet back streets of south Glasgow and, without fail, will have a silent cry to myself as I think of what the people living through the genocide in Gaza are experiencing.
This is a small gesture, it’s the very least I can do. Please consider donating if you are able.

Ella 07.02.13 – 13.02.25
We are devastated to share that our big gentle girl Ella passed away peacefully at home on Thursday afternoon surrounded by love. She brought so much joy to our lives and we miss her so much.
Thank you to all those who have been in touch and offered support over the past few days. We’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from her friends.
Rest in paradise sweet sweet baby-old-lady 🤍
She might be about 87 in human terms and riddled with arthritis, but this sweet old lady still enjoys a good run on the beach. Here are some pics from Ella’s happy place today 💕🌅🌊
USA Roadtrip Highlight #4
Death Valley. We arrived after dark, and stepping out of the air-con hire car into the night, we were immediately hit by the heat. 36 degrees. At night. Daylight revealed an extraordinary landscape, which at times felt like walking on another planet. No wonder so much sci-fi has been filmed here. From the vast mountain ranges that form the valley, and their flood-carved canyons, to the mesquite-and-creosote sand dunes, and ‘bad water’ salt crusted basin, everything was huge and dazzling in their brightness, only becoming hazy in the liquid mirages caused by the extreme heat. Out of this world!
USA Roadtrip Highlight #3
Hiking deep into the monumental Kolob Canyons in Zion National Park, the red Navajo Sandstone, made from compressed sand of an ancient jurassic desert, seems to emit its own light, making everything in its presence glow pink. Emerging back into the sunlight, the green of the trees and scrub seemed greener, the blue sky, bluer…. Magic! ✨♥️💓🧡💚💙
USA Roadtrip Highlight #2
Our more-than-human encounters (well, the ones caught on camera…)
📹1 - humpback whale watching in the Pacific Ocean
📷 2 - sea lions along the pacific coastline
📹 3 - sea otters in Monterey bay
📷 4 - mule deer in coastal woodland
📷 5 - feral burros (donkeys) in what was once a mining town near Death Valley
📹 6 - call & response with a raven in Death Valley
📷 7 - tracks in the sand dunes
📷 8 - ravens at a gas station
📹 9 - lizard checks out our shoes
📹 10 - coyote in the early morning
USA Roadtrip Highlight #1
For the last two weeks of September, before arriving at my @headlandsarts residency, @honeybones and I went on a dreamy USA roadtrip across California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. The last leg of our trip took in the in the north of Utah to make a 1970s land art pilgrimage, visiting Nancy Holt’s incredible Sun Tunnels at sunrise in the Great Basin Desert, and Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty at sunset on the northeastern shore of the Great Salt Lake. They did not disappoint😍🌞🔘🌀💕
This month marks a year at SCAN (and a year of Ella refusing to take the stairs resulting in this, by no means exhaustive, collection of obligatory lift selfies).
I’ve had the opportunity to work with some truly inspirational artists, curators, activists and thinkers this year. I’m so grateful to be in a role that supports and inspires. Looking forward to what 2024 brings. @scottishcontemporaryart
