From wall to wall, we have such an incredible team of people bringing Homesick to life and we want to shed some light on the people involved… 💗
Firstly… the essential, and exceedingly professional @purple_audio , will be bringing their unparalleled Funktion-One audio clarity to Homesick; a crystal-clear listening experience for all. Bash, aka @simbiotic_vision , has played a pivotal role in making our visual ideas possible and has helped lay the groundwork for how everything can come together; he’ll be on the visuals and lighting all night, and we are forever grateful! Last but not least, a special thanks goes out to @advantimanti , @hennymckew , @tirumiksu , @JoeTracey , @micalizzzi for going out of their way for us; helping us improve and evolve Homesick in a grand way.

DAWS is a passionate DJ and producer celebrated by Australia’s LGBTQI+ community and known in the wider electronic scene as a versatile artist capable of effortlessly bridging gaps between different sounds and artistic expectations. Beginning her DJ journey in the warm sun filled shores of Perth/Boorloo, but growing into her style in Melbourne/Naarm’s underground club scene, her sets join and expand upon her city’s sound. DAWS has demonstrated her ability to align with the energy In the space, rather than a specific sound. Her acclaimed sets at festivals such as Pitch Music and Arts, Wide Open Spaces, and Gaytimes have highlighted her ability as a standout DJ to create uplifting, reflective, and highly enjoyable sets during earlier hours In the day. By contrast, the faster and sometimes unpredictable flip side of her notorious daytime sound has seen her headline club shows, captivate warehouse rave dance floors, and support artists such as Honey Dijon, Octo Octa, Regularfantasy, and Or:la in the last year. Regardless of the style her music explores, DAWS talent as a DJ is founded in the harmonious relationship she creates with the crowds she plays for.
Started as a side project during 2021 to raise money for charity, her label ADHD Unlimited showcases the overlap between her worlds - bringing pop and well-known songs into the club by producing and curating artists to release DJ-ready edits of music that is always aimed at uniting the dance floor across genres and sounds. Quickly becoming an essential resource for DJs as a way to keep dance floors enjoyable and fun, DAWS has also used the label as a way to create a connection with audiences across the globe, refining what feeling and sound resonates the most with different people.

It’s time to disclose our next secret… stepping to the stage is TEAG, a gifted and deep-diving selector who’s skills as a DJ far surpass her emerging status. Teagan is building a reputation for serving a triple harmony of techno evergreens, gritty-hypnotic house, and ofcourse, ‘heritage-listed’ bangers you probably never heard of... TEAG dedicates countless hours to searching and perfecting this musical trifecta, and she’s busy crafting something special for our showtime adventure at the theatre. If you’ve had the pleasure of witnessing Teagan command a dancefloor, you’ll recall the irresistible energy that drew you and your besties in for a filthy beat-driven boogie. If you haven’t experienced it yet, get ready to discover just how funky and formidable her performances truly are!

Activator have been reeling us in on their line allll year long and we have gladly taken the bait of their thick funky tech-house and ravey trance-tinted anthems. Their sets are a staggering continuum of hard to come by gems, embellished with an onstage aura that picks you up, and never lets you fall... The two stars, @clayw and @vitamin___dj , have created a vibe you might get once every few generations — Activator go beyond the gorgeous modern-classic playlist they bring, or their iconic silhouette seen through the club lights... it’s a lifestyle, it’s legitimacy, and it is to be followed.
Activator’s packed schedule includes set recordings, radio appearances, and performances across Naarm, but beyond this involvement, they also excel at hosting events —consistently creating opportunities for emerging artists as well as promoting the shows they’re involved in. We love this about them and are honored to have them perform on the 26th.

Quite frankly, @tirumiksu ‘s New Year’s resolution to ‘make her bed’ can wait. Instead, she has replaced these mornings by exercising her talent for scheming iconic set after set, and we anticipate a performance that will make you feel famous, to say the least. Miki has an amazing ear for music, constantly pulling rare and nuanced tracks outta the bag... Even more impressive is Miki’s ability to DJ her library. Her sets are highly considered and are a delightful combination of her favorite types of music; no matter what you think about the compatibility of certain genres, Miki makes it happen...
After an 8-month staycay in New York, Miki took her talents global, delivering a masterclass during her sets at The Lot and Kiosk Radio, while also performing at Brooklyn based club, ‘The End’. After seizing the moment at our first event on New Year’s Day, we are thrilled to have her back on the Homesick stage...
5:00 - 6:30PM 💅🏽
Welcoming you into the glitz and glam of Home Sick is Will, the maverick behind Underground City Loop… Through his unique brand of breakbeat and textural house, Will presents a sound that enacts a multi-purpose nature. One of his tracks you wind down to at home, can double into a clubby, kaleidoscopic dance expedition. We’re not being dramatic when we say many would deem these productions impossible, but Will tangos these tracks into existence all the time… each of them balancing the act of irregular funk rhythms and sonically deep soundscapes. This vibe transfers to his DJ sets and is enhanced by his passion for vinyl digging. Word on the street is that some excess baggage may be aboard after some crate diving whilst touring through Japan, god only knows what he’ll be bringing to the big stage.
