They introduce student work and build on the legacy of practitioners-scholars who introduce performance as research and embodied practice, turning the body into a powerful site of knowledge production and performance into a way of thinking and critically engaging with an increasingly critical world.

Reflecting on the transformative works from our first-year students during the Politically Engaged Performance Making module. The students were challenged to treat their work as a political gesture, resulting in an incredible range of diverse research:
Between mourning rituals and minimal gestures. Personal storytelling through play. The policing of identity and the reclamation of the in-between.
