In 2001, two Congolese immigrants took a leap of faith and opened Jeman Express on West Blvd. For 20+ years, with no days off, our parents showed up every single day so they could give us a better life.
We watched them. We learned from them. The dedication, the consistency, and the way they treated every customer and team member with the utmost respect because without the people around you, you are nothing.
This award belongs to them first.

We started with one cafe and just kept growing because you all kept showing up.
POV: You run a matcha cafe, and then you build a mobile matcha bar because our customers asked for it.
We loved doing corporate events in 2025 so much we took it further — and yeah, balancing that with the day-to-day of our matcha cafe is busy. Events add a whole new layer of complexity to weekly planning.
But every day we get a little better. Tracking what's worked, planning ahead (or pivoting last minute), and keeping the energy high every single time. 🍵
