Great news! Blucifer’s First Rodeo is partnering with Colorado-based nonprofit @holyfoolco 💙🐴💙 We want to make sure all artists who perform at BFR are paid an equitable and generous wage to play. Holy Fool will also be assisting us in organizing hospitality and artist care for all the bands during the weekend of the festival. Donations made to Blucifer’s First Rodeo via Holy Fool are tax-deductible and 100% of your donation will go directly to supporting working artists. To donate, head to the link in our bio or go to bluciferfest.com/donate 🐎💙🐎 We’re stoked to partner with an organization created by fellow working artists who share our vision of a Denver music community led BY ARTISTS FOR EVERYBODY! Holy Fool was started by artists and patrons who partner to create a world where working musicians can thrive. Their mission is to provide encouragement, peer coaching, and strategizing ways to help musicians who are not yet financially independent. They lend resources, equipment, and offer micro-grants to musicians in need. Hit that link in bio for more info or to donate!! A little bit goes a long way. 📸: @lk.konkoli.visuals

We had a great time last at the @holyfoolco house show with @joelansett , @kevin_schlereth , and @lauraannemusic !! Thank you to @aaronmichaelpott for hosting and @aaronstrumpel for running sound, and for letting us celebrate both Aarons birthday!! This is my buddy Joel Ansett singing — I love live music, I love music makers, I love dreamers and folk singers and punk rockers, I love all those who long for the world to be better than it is.

Ben Sooy is a believer. In music, in community, in the power of one person’s passion to start a revolution. That’s why the lead singer of @aplaceforowls launched the Holy Fool last year, a nonprofit with a mission to create a network of artists who can lend and leverage the skills, experience and resources of their peers. Read more about Sooy’s vision for a world where working artists can achieve financial stability at the link in our bio 🔗 ✨

New Holy Fool Podcast featuring Bob and Jayne from Undertow Music Collective! Available on YouTube and Apple Podcasts (but not Spotify). @holyfoolco Podcast host Ben Sooy speaks with Bob Andrews and Jayne Ballantyne from the @undertowmusic about their DIY approach to artist management, the importance of house shows, and the evolving landscape of the music industry. They share personal stories of how they got involved in supporting working musicians, the challenges artists face today, and the significance of building direct relationships with fans. Bob and Jayne give practical advice to working musicians based on their 30+ years supporting artists. The Undertow Music Collective began in 1996 as a group of friends sharing ideas, resources and a love of music. They work closely with a select roster of artists they love, respect and call their friends. Their goal is to create a friendly and productive environment for these people to make music while keeping their integrity and artistic vision intact. undertowmusic.com Holy Fool is a Colorado-based nonprofit community of musicians and patrons who hold all things in common.
