Ever since I bought my first digital camera, I have been drawn to—and obsessed with—architecture and the poetry of structures. I have spent endless hours in empty parking facilities, outside desolate office buildings, under bridges, inside tunnels, around towers, and in countless places that most people simply pass by and overlook. It’s a passion that has only grown over the years, teaching me to cherish the ordinary and to see beauty in everything around me.
2025 was once again a record year for the Carlsberg Foundation. For the first time ever, they distributed more than DKK 1 billion to charitable purposes.
This is stated in their Annual Report 2025, which has just been published.
Earlier this year I worked with @carlsbergfondet on photography for the annual report including the cover 🍀

One photographer that has influenced me the most is Keld Helmer-Petersen.
Keld Helmer-Petersen is one of the most influential Danish photographers in the 20th Century. He was an international pioneer in colour photography and was a central figure in not only Danish but also European modernist photography. His career spanned 70 years and he had strong interest in modern architecture, industrial areas and structures. He was very prolific and continuously experimented and challenged the many possibilities of the photographic image.
His efforts have put a mark on photography as an artistic expression. With his keen eye for things that are generally overlooked, Keld Helmer-Petersen opened a door to the hidden beauty of a world, we thought we knew so well.
