Built on the site of three derelict Victorian coach houses formerly used as a vehicle repair garage, this modern family home is tucked away along a quiet and unassuming mews. The layout and material palette are reminiscent of the Case Study Houses of the American modernist period, where open-plan living and emphasis on natural light were defining characteristics. This modernist influence is reflected in the use of American White Oak veneer for the wall cladding above the sink, alongside bespoke joinery throughout the kitchen, lounge, utility and understairs study. The space is augmented by iconic design pieces, including Vitsoe shelving, a vintage Louis Poulsen pendant light, and modern European-inspired dining chairs by Jasper Morrison, further reinforcing the modernist charm of the home. Horn Lane, London Part of a ground floor extension project led by @damianhowkinsarchitects , this minimalist-inspired kitchen pairs dark-stained European oak fronts with white-stained Ash to create a rich tonal contrast. The bespoke floating shelves and client-supplied stainless steel worktops and upstand achieve a refined, industrial aesthetic. "Our goal was to create a modern space that combines wood and stainless steel as the primary materials. The result is a kitchen we’re truly delighted with - both beautiful and highly functional - and it’s now a space the whole family enjoys every day." - Alison, client See the full project via the link in our bio. Selbourne, Bristol For this terrace transformation, we worked closely with the homeowners and their architect @leightonarchitects to design a kitchen that can grow alongside their young family. Using their IKEA plans as a starting point, we combined custom American Walnut veneered fronts with integrated J-Pull detailing, alongside a bespoke tall unit and shelving, to create a refined, premium finish. Whitstable Road, Canterbury We were delighted to work with @littlewoodarchitecture on their masterful renovation of a 1930’s property set within the Canterbury Conservation Area. For the kitchen we combined custom-made fronts for IKEA units with bespoke cabinetry, pantry, tall shelving and bench seating. The interplay of material and colour adds layers of detail, and the integrated half-moon handles act as a playful motif throughout. Explore the full Whitstable Road project via the link in bio. When space is tight, every centimetre counts. For this minimalist mid-century style kitchen, we paid careful consideration to the layout and internal arrangement, maximising functionality without sacrificing aesthetics. Details include a nifty pull-out drawer and pull-down shelving for spice jars and bottles, shallow depth drawers under the hatch to maximise storage, a pull-out corner unit and a bin system concealed under the sink. Minimalists rejoice! Photos: @_beth_davis #minimal #bespoke #minimaldesign #midcenturystyle

Essex Road, London For our latest Bespoke project, we worked with the owners of this modest Islington apartment to transform their kitchen to reflect their British-Nigerian and Turkish heritage. Inspired by their passion for mid-century design, we paired cherry timber veneer fronts with contrasting walnut edging and integrated handles, with a black base palette formed by @dzekdzekdzek Marmoreal worktops and ExCinere floor tiles to create depth and richness. To cater for the couple's love of hosting and entertaining, we included a wine rack, storage for cocktail spirits, and even the ability to convert the kitchen hatch into a DJ booth for dinner parties with friends.
