Last night, we said goodbye to one of the greatest horses we will ever know. She was known by many names -Big Mama, EllaBella, Big Lady many more - and somehow every single one of them suited her perfectly. She was the biggest, most gentle horse I’ve ever met. A kind, old soul who arrived already perfect, already wise, already knowing exactly how to take care of every person lucky enough to stand beside her. People always say “once-in-a-lifetime horse,” but she truly was. She touched so many lives over the years, and I’m so grateful I had the privilege of being part of her story for seven beautiful years. And I’m thankful we were able to give her the softest, safest landing as she grew older. Ella passed suddenly last night. Even though she was nearing her 30s and we knew this chapter was coming, it doesn’t make the heartbreak any easier. I’m asking for a little space to grieve - this one is hitting very, very hard. She was the best listener, always patient, always present. She had this angelic way of looking at you like she understood everything you weren’t saying. And her knicker, that warm, soft greeting every time you walked into the barn or past her paddock, it was pure magic. She always came to say hi. Never turned away. Stoic, gentle, and so full of love right until the end. I don’t know what we ever did to deserve her. It doesn’t feel real that she’s gone. 💛 If you have memories of her, photos, stories, little moments — please share them. She gave so much to all of us, and I’d love to keep her alive through the pieces of her that touched each person who knew her. We’re going to miss her more than words can say. Run free, Big Mama. Thank you for everything. 🖤✨

Today we said goodbye to our dog. True to form, he was an asshole all the way to the end. He bit us more times than we can count, and I think almost every one of our friends had at least one “run-in” with him. But for all his quirks, he had a pretty great life, walks, treats, adventures, and a family that (somehow) kept him around much longer than most would have. Thank you to everyone who tolerated him, loved him in your own way, and supported Aaron and me in giving him the best life he could have. He was a dick… but he was our dick. And I think I might even miss him. 🖤🐾

Some of the @stumpjumpersdesert100 fun. Race has about 1500 bikes starting in 2 waves. Recorded about half as I didn't want to change batteries mid race. Missed several dumb drops, and I just had to drop it there for the cameraman. (Great photo op😂) Only had one bad spill. Tried passing some dirtbikes on a bad line. Crested the top of the hill to see an awful downhill section while there's was nice and manicured, but that's racing🤷‍♂️ Finished 6th in my class at 3 hrs 13 mins. Shooting for sub 3 hours next year. . . . . . . #heavyenduro #tenere700 #yamahat7 #advrider #hardenduro #offroad #adventurebike
