Finally got these copies of the metalwork on the door of Fiskerkapellet mounted on something. The originals are most likely from between 1200-1400, the parts were probably made for different stavechurches during that 200 ish year timespan and then later moved to fiskerkapellet (which is why the lower hinge is a little wonky on the original and my copy). There is a little more than 90 separate parts forgewelded together to form the hinges and decorations

Got done with my journeyman piece. I had 37.5 hrs to make this vise. It ended up weighing around 60kg and has 160mm wide jaws. The jaws are lined with carbon steel. As I am slightly insane i also decided to forge the threads on the vise. The threads are 30mm forged from 1045 steel for the screw and 1060 steel for the nut. Finished with 10min to spare in the end. Big thanks to my master @svenssonsmie for the help over the years i have been working with him.

Another power hammer back up and running. This Vulkan DRP had some serious problems, a broken check valve preventing the ram from lifting to the ram up position, misaligned dies, a sliding sow block key and a 5mm airgap under the sowblock. We managed to fix the problems and get the hammer back to life. It is still leaking some air past the seals in the ram so those will need replacement at a later date, but for now it will be forging iron again!

Just finished up a set of forged lamps for Jarlsberg Hovedgård. 2 smaller wallmounted ones and three large ceiling lamps. All together about 220 forged leafs and 40 bronze blossoms. Had some great help by @sootsmith making them. The lightsources will be placed behind the blossoms, but that will be done by a proper electrician, not a clumsy blacksmith like me 😆

Made this copy of an old norwegian axe. The original had some interesting decorations punched along the sides so i made myself some chisels to copy those aswell.
