I got some news😎 I'm gonna be tattooing at the @itmfest (Indigenous Tattoo and Music Fest) in Lemoore, CA June 5,6, and 7. It'll be my second time attending but my first time tattooing there as I'll be freshly graduated from my apprenticeship and a fully licensed artist. I'll be offering flash tattoos while I'm at the convention but am on the lookout for clients wanting larger pieces, so if you or some folks you know in California are interested please shoot me a message.
I'm also getting the opportunity to guest spot in Auburn, CA the 9-14 at @mothership.tattoo . I was invited by the wickedly talented @faelien.ink to come out and do some machine tattoos as well as hand poked ancestral markings. This'll be my first guest spot as well, and my first time traveling solo. Lots of firsts coming up soon and I'm beyond excited about where my career is taking me. Mvto for the ongoing support and the people who have trusted me and made these opportunities possible. All love all the time🖤
Receiving a marking is a deeply personal experience. One that requires preparation, mutual trust, and an understanding that this intimate process is so sacred to both the individual receiving their marks and the practitioner alike. Silas (@gaytive ) helped me create an environment that reflected these truths, and we had insightful and meaningful conversation that reminded me how special this process is. Mvto for the opportunity, experience and the beautiful gifts.
Drawn on and hand poked with care.

wipe that look off your face, tattooers are very serious people you gotta lock in.
Working on 6 months of being a Licensed Tattoo Apprentice. Many times during this process I've questioned if it was going to workout like I planned. (Spoiler, it totally didn't.) But I never truly doubted that I was on the wrong path. This road is long, rewarding, and challenging. Six more months and I'll be fully licensed and ready to take on the next step: the continuation of the career I've started, and getting better at my craft every single day. I'm so in love with what I do and feel like I becoming who I'm meant to be with every new learning experience.
Thank you for your trust and support, always.

blackwork tummyfly mothbelly flutterstomach
First two slides are 1 week healed, 3rd and 4th slides fresh and the last slide is just the lines. We had initially planned to get at least the lines down on the sonder but made the ethical decision to call it after a long day so we'll revisit in June.
I always want to give my clients everything they want, but we had been working hard all day and the tummy is no joke, so although we wanted to satisfaction of getting further it was the wisest decision to wait until we were both at 100% to get that crisp result we needed.
Can't wait to finish this belly and spend another session yapping with my pal.
After the first couple days with the second skin the moisture that collected near the belly button resulted in some irritation and scary redness. She did what I want ALL Y'ALL to do in these cases and messaged me immediately so I could give further instruction on how to care for it. Within a couple more days things had settled down and we were able to get some solid pictures during the healing process. Can't wait to finish this project.
And boy, do I be zoomin 🔍
Here's a lot of April, it was a great month to get tattooed.
Get in my books for May before summertime hits if you want to do some sun or water once things warm up. I recommend 3-4 weeks of 🚫no submersion🚫 The time is now🥸

Melanie's markings, handpoked with care
Every marking has a unique meaning to the individual bearing it. I'm privileged to be able to help you tell your stories. Mvto Melanie for the contributions to your people through your work and for the trust to be able to bring your markings to life.
Being tattooed in a way that reflects and honors our ancestors comes with responsibility. You're expressing your identity as an indigenous person for the world to witness, and are accountable for the decisions made as an individual who represents your people.
I'm always learning from these experiences, and trying to take that same accountability for myself and my work as a practitioner.
If you're a southeastern native and feel led to get your markings, or even just have questions regarding them, my messages are always open and I'd be happy to have those conversations with you.
Pictured in the last two slides are the gifts Melanie crafted for me in exchange for her markings. Extremely grateful for these beautiful pieces.

The 49 NDN Art Rally was such a rewarding experience, artists were given 1 hour to complete as much work as we could and the pieces were auctioned off for $49 for the Jacobsen House Gallery (@jacobsonhouseart )
Mvto to @kreativenative for the invitation, I had never done anything like this before and I loved feeding off the energy in the room.
I'm grateful to be included in these spaces, and look forward to more opportunities like this in the future.
The deer woman portal painting was made with watercolor and ink. The panther illustration was done with paint markers on 1912 ledger paper. (thx @kindra_swafford for the paper)
Saw some familiar faces and made some new connections with artists and collectors at this event, Thank you to the folks who made it possible and to the individuals who went home with my work tonight.

newest flash designs, as per uzhe all these designs are repeatable and available in black and grey or color.
I love tattooing my flash so if you see something you like let me know and I'll give you a budget friendly badass piece.
Side note, I've been kind of terrible at responding to messages promptly the last couple weeks, and for that I'm really sorry. I also discovered a "hidden requests" folder in my dm's (???) and with it discovered dozens of messages that were wrongly flagged and for some reason hidden from me for ages. I think I've gotten back to everyone there but if I've missed your message please double message me. I promise I'm not intentionally dodging you. Thank you for your patience, kindness and support
