【Lee Gardens Presents Ascendant: The Sculptural Legacy of Yuyu Yang】
Art has never been confined to white walls. When art steps out of exhibition halls and into street corners, it becomes part of a vivid urban landscape.
Every corner of the city is lit up by art and culture this Art March. Lee Gardens offers a different way to experience art in everyday life. We are proud to present “Ascendant: The Sculptural Legacy of Yuyu Yang” featuring pivotal works by the renowned modern Chinese sculptor across public spaces in Lee Gardens — bringing contemporary art into the urban landscape.
This exhibition presents a curated selection of his representative pieces spanning four decades, including ”Advent of the Phoenix III“, ”Phoenix“, ”Advent of the Phoenix IV“ and ”Growth II“. Among them, the ”Phoenix“ Series (1970-1990) stands as his most iconic theme. Integrating Chinese culture into modern stainless steel, he transforms the mythical phoenix—a symbol of auspiciousness—into flowing abstract lines, a messenger between nature and humanity.
Yuyu Yang emphasized the dialogue between art and environment, the resonance between sculpture and architecture. This exhibition embodies this vision — four sculptures stand where streets, crowd and skyline meet — a fluid urban landscape. We warmly invite you to Lee Gardens this March, where Eastern culture and modern sculpture meet by chance, and art walks into your everyday life.

The newest art exhibition has just landed in Hong Kong. @arthousetaihang takes over one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city: Tai Hang. Featuring 10 shophouses featuring 50 artists from near and far, the art exhibition naturally immerses you in the culture of the area.
Organized by Jacky Ho (@hoctavius ), it’s the first real art event to kick off the Hong Kong art week ahead. He gives you the tour shop by shop. But you’ll need to visit to see it all.

Step inside this “church” in Tai Hang. Conceived as a space for rest and reflection, this shophouse in Tai Hang has been converted into a spiritual place of art. “Stained glass windows” are recreated from the colors of Ding Shilun’s (@ding_shilun ). Qi Zhuo’s (@zhuo.qi ) stone sculptures humorously wrapped in glass serve as an altarpiece. And Min-Jia’s (@provessel ) turtle and rabbit motifs bring a mix of contemporary and traditional flair to the space.
“Pew chairs” and radiant church music add the final touches. Now on view at ArtHouse Tai Hang (@arthousetaihang ). Jacky Ho (@hoctavius ) is your guide.

Apocrypha 未入典
Ding Shilun (@ding_shilun )
Marking the artist’s largest presentation to date and his first museum show in Asia, Bernheim Gallery is pleased to present Ding Shilun’s institutional solo show at the Song Art Museum which brings together a new body of work alongside earlier pivotal paintings.
Exhibition Dates: 2026.05.21-2026.06.28
Location: Song Art Museum, Tongzhou, Beijing, China
At the core of this new series lies the notion of “apocrypha”; writings or stories that exist outside of official canons, considered hidden away with questionable authority. For Shilun, such marginal narratives are not peripheral but generative, revealing how imagination, misremembering, and projection actively shape our understanding of reality. This conceptual framework underpins a shift in his practice toward a more fluid and speculative mode of storytelling.
The presentation at the Song Art Museum is particularly resonant. As an institution dedicated to tracing the trajectories of Chinese contemporary art while fostering dialogue across generations, the museum provides a critical framework within which Shilun’s practice can be situated. Engaging simultaneously with the legacies of Chinese painting and the conventions of Western art history, his work articulates a position that is both historically grounded and globally informed. In this context, Apocrypha 未入典 underscores the capacity of contemporary painting to renegotiate inherited narratives, proposing alternative modes of history rooted in multiplicity, ambiguity, and imagination.

Apocrypha 未入典
丁士伦 (@ding_shilun )

Probably one of the most popular works of the show
– excited to share that Bubble-Game by Qi Zhuo @zhuo.qi has been placed into a wonderful private collection in Hong Kong ✨
What an experience curating this special ArtHouse with @kef.hongkong – transforming the historic building into a serene “space of belief” where art, architecture, and sound beautifully converge.
During a hectic art week, so many of you slowed down, sat on the wooden chairs, and let the KEF LS50 Wireless II fill the sunlit room with rich, radiant sound. The music didn’t just play – it breathed life into the artworks, creating emotional connections that echoed with each visitor’s own belief.
Grateful for these moments when art, sound, and belief quietly become one. 🎧🏛️

In the art world, you could learn so much, and sometimes everything, from the auction room — just like all kung fu comes from Shaolin Temple. 🏯
Incredibly grateful that @christiesinc made the trip to swing by @arthousetaihang . What an honour to host the icons.
Missing the whole family… so proud to be a graduate of this holy temple. ✨
