Coming back from an eventful summer, the cool wind and the leaves rolling by feel unreal. Where did summer go? It’s already time for #autumntreats and cozier sweaters.
Last dinner in #osaka at #suntorywhiskyhouse trying all their #suntorywhisky. I prefer this over wine tasting. Fresh fried large cut fries, charcuterie board, braised soy sauce tendon, freshly prepared pizza and table top steamed harvest rice paired beautifully with the flights. For a weekday evening, it was busy but we were able to walk-in without a reservation and enjoy the experience to our hearts content.
The largest noodle cup that I ever did see! #cupnoodlesmuseum was a highlight of this trip. There’s a tour, custom cup noodle making, cup coloring and a theater. Fun for the whole family including my inner child.
Warm evening strolls through #osaka has been crowded but surreal. Sometimes I wonder about why tourists like me come here and other times I wonder what life would be like without tourists. Deep thoughts sometimes come to mind like how tourism changed the culture or why we can’t have beer vending machines. Well, time to slurp some #udon.
I have something to admit. I am an undercover #harrypotter fan who craves a viewing of the movies every holiday and occasionally listens to the soundtrack to de-stress. I won’t wear any witch hats or wave a wand around, but I was thrilled to visit #universalstudiosjapan to see the sites and walk into the Hogwarts castle. That’s what vacations are for.
