Everybody wants the spotlight. Few embrace the dirty work. Talen Knowles sits down with Sway to talk about being the guy who does what most players won’t — setting screens, crashing the glass, making hustle plays, and impacting winning beyond the box score. At Eagle Academy BX, he knows his role and thrives in it. And at the Humble Runs, people quickly realized why his teammates value him so much. You might sleep on him at first… until he’s everywhere on the court. Then suddenly, you want him on your team. More than talent — it’s brotherhood over there.

Started cold… then couldn’t miss. Mason Santiago pulled up to the Humble Runs for the first time representing his Jersey roots — with Brooklyn running through him too. Once he settled in, the shots started falling, and when he’s teamed up with Richie? Yeah… it gets dangerous. Mason prides himself on toughness, competing through injury, and bringing energy on both sides of the ball. And according to him? Too many hoopers forgot how to play defense. He definitely didn’t.

RYAN EDWARDS. ALL-APRIL EYE CATCHER. Smooth operator. PSAL Championship Game MVP. 2x city champ. Simple game. Big name. Major bucket. The shot-making comes easy, and finishing at the rim looks just as natural. Since missing the Week 1 invite, Ryan took every trip personally and made sure his presence was felt. Week after week. Bucket after bucket.

DYLAN LEON. ALL-APRIL EYE CATCHER. A familiar face in the runs. A name that’s been stamped in the HMBL story for years. The scoring has always been there, but it’s the energy that separates him — the pace, the edge, the way he keeps finding moments to impact the game. From the Sway Report to the runs, Dylan has carried that “Humble legend” title the right way. Still showing up. Still making noise.

RICH JACKSON. ALL-APRIL EYE CATCHER. Averaged 30 at Thomas Jefferson this year — and the runs got a close look at why. One of the sharper 3-point assassins in the gym, with the relentlessness to finish through traffic when the lane opened up. A senior season that spoke for itself. Now we wait to see where he takes it next.
