A New Standard In Disease Cure What if the body could keep fighting disease, even after medication stops? For decades, HIV treatment has focused on suppressing the virus. But when treatment stops, the virus often rebounds. Immuno Cure is working to change that. With a vision to fight cancers, inflammatory and infectious diseases through innovation, the clinical-stage biotech group has created the world’s first PD-1-enhanced DNA vaccine platform, activating cytotoxic CD8 T cells to eliminate HIV infected cells – simply put, training the immune system to recognise and destroy infected cells more effectively. With our funding, subsidies and ecosystem support, Immuno Cure scaled from a one person startup to a 60 strong team and expanded into our Shenzhen Branch. It now operates a “One Park, Two Cities” model: R&D in Hong Kong, manufacturing in Guangzhou, and clinical trials across Shenzhen and Guangzhou. MTX 2026: Strengthening Regional Public Safety Innovation Our debut at Milipol TechX Summit (MTX) 2026 in Singapore marked an exciting milestone for our innovators, and a strong step forward in expanding Hong Kong’s public safety innovation presence in the region. Our Impacts • 10 of our Park companies showcased their cutting-edge solutions at our Pavilion; • To date, we have supported more than 100 Park companies in expanding into Southeast Asia • Generating over HKD 25 million in confirmed business and a further HKD 20 million in potential contracts A major highlight at MTX was the formation of a strategic partnership with TechX Ventures, a private subsidiary set up by Singapore’s Home Team Science & Technology Agency. This is our first MoU signed with an organisation in Southeast Asia, reflecting a shared commitment to applied innovation and regional cooperation in strengthening public safety capabilities. Hong Kong and Singapore have built a strong foundation in I&T collaboration, underscored by the Prime Minister of Singapore’s official visit to Hong Kong in March, during which he toured the Northern Metropolis to understand its long-term planning and innovation development. Brewing With Purpose What’s your version of the Hong Kong spirit? For Nikita Kuwadekar, Founder of @busybrewhk and Winner of The Spirit of Youth Award at the recent Spirit of Hong Kong Awards, it shows up in action. After open-heart surgery as a child, she became more conscious of what she put into her body and committed to a healthier, plant-based lifestyle. That shift led her to question everyday choices, including something as simple as coffee. She noticed that ready-to-drink options that are both dairy- and sugar-free were hard to find, despite nearly 90% of Asians being lactose intolerant. So she built one herself. Through persistent recipe testing and refinement, she created a plant-based oat latte made with natural ingredients, allowing people to enjoy their favourite drink without discomfort. An Inspiring Earth Day Story! In land scarce Hong Kong, on site food waste processing is difficult. Rosie Chan, Founder of JAPJAP and winner of The Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award in the recent Spirit of Hong Kong Award, had a unique idea: by stacking and redesigning used transport pallets, she created modular food recycling machines that fit into schools, housing estates and shopping malls. Powered by AI-driven monitoring and environmental control, the system converts food waste into fertiliser and useful by-products right where it is generated, with precise monitoring to maximise efficiency. Yet technology is only part of the story. Rosie believes lasting change happens through people. By bringing the conversation into schools and communities, she empowers young students leaders to help make waste reduction part of everyday life. As we celebrate Earth Day, her work reminds us that sustainability starts locally, and action can begin anywhere.
