話說搬到中部冇工作冇朋友，個人灰暗到谷底，好在畫畫扶我一把，我也振作去搵工識朋友。恭喜我吧！我終於搵到啱心水嘅part-time啦！可以返工賺錢，又可以有時間畫畫🥳👍🏾
Today’s homework from class: painting mangoes for light and shadow practice 🎨🥭
Not gonna lie, moving to the Midlands with no job and no friends really hit me hard for a while. Thankfully painting kept me going, and slowly I started putting myself out there again — job hunting, meeting people, rebuilding life a bit at a time.
AND… good news 🥳
I finally found a part-time job I genuinely like! Can make some money and still keep time for art 🎨💪🏾
今日用最cheap嘅水彩紙，試吓放鬆手畫，唔好驚唔靚唔好驚炒車，擁抱同欣賞自己有限嘅能力。左邊棵樹顏色好突兀。
Grabbed the cheapest watercolour paper today just to practise letting go 🎨
No stressing about whether it turns out nice or completely flops. Trying to appreciate where I’m at instead of fighting it.

我開始懷疑自己有一點色弱，總要調好幾個色來選一隻最接近。如有經歷過呢個階段嘅你，你都會一樣還是在色盤調準就是呢？

At this point I’m questioning my eyes, always have to mix several shades before finding the closest match.
Anyone else went through this phase too? was it the same for you, or could you already nail the colour straight on the palette? 🎨
上理論堂真係有啲悶，但係唔學又唔得喎！踏入水彩控色嘅世界，一齊消耗海量畫紙吧🤪
Not gonna lie, theory class is sleepy stuff 😴
But learning colour control in watercolour is serious business. RIP to my paper stash🤪
4月油菜花盛放，好天一得閒就會沉浸在花田，foot paths仲有蘋果樹一齊開花🌸
第一次試不停打濕張紙咁畫（我又亂嚟啦😆），翻手太多本來好滿意嘅紋理都被洗走了🙈。唔怕，練習就係不停嘅失敗，然後成長。
題外話，自從搬離熟悉嘅社區，沒了工作沒了朋友，情緒跌入深谷，幸好學畫畫扶持一下。有冇畫畫人在West Midland做個朋友？

Tried going full wet-on-wet this time, definitely overdid it — some textures I loved just disappeared 🙈
But hey, that’s how we learn and get better.
Also… moving away from my old circle, no work, no friends nearby — it’s been a bit of a low point.
Grateful I’ve got painting to keep me going 🧡

啲花好難畫！最後我掃濕畫紙，亂咁彈啲唔同嘅黃色同綠色落去。好似過關……喺呢個階段，我比自己合格㗎啦🤗
我要讚吓第三張相嗰支粉紅色嘅畫筆，我用佢畫晒成幅畫所有幼線，比較起旁邊嗰支我以前用嘅0號，支8號畫幼線更容易掌握🧡
Flowers are so hard to paint! In the end I just went with wet-on-wet and threw in some yellows and greens.
Calling it a pass for now 🤗
Shoutout to the pink brush in pic 3 — handled all the fine lines for this piece 🎨
So much easier to control than the size 0 I used before, even for the tiniest details 🧡
話說之前畫畫都係freestyle冇譜嘅，終於忍唔住要搵老師由基礎學起，小點子happy share🥳
Used to just draw whatever, no structure at all — couldn’t resist anymore and signed up to learn the basics properly 🎨 Little win — happy to share 🥳
善待畫筆，佢哋先會時刻如初，陪我耐啲🧡 畫筆好貴🤑，養好佢哋就可以買多幾疊水彩紙啦！👍🏾
Be kind to your brushes and they’ll stick around longer 🧡 They cost a bomb 🤑 — might as well save that 💵for more watercolour paper.👍🏾
