Meet Steven Abraham & Lisa Young of our 2026 Curatorial Committee! @chocodorayaki @histevenabraham Steven and Lisa are Brooklyn-based contemporary art collectors focused on emerging to mid-career artists, particularly those from the Asian diaspora. In 2021, they co-founded The Here and There Collective (THAT Co.), a non-profit organization that provides a digital archive, grants, residencies, and community-building opportunities for Asian-diasporic artists. Their collection has been featured in publications including Frieze and Apollo Magazine, recognizing their commitment to supporting artists of color and an emphasis on stewardship as a collecting practice. @thehereandthereco They say: “For us, a forward-thinking art market prioritizes inclusivity and long-term stewardship over short-term gain, investing in the entire ecosystem of artists, galleries, collectors, curators, writers, institutions, and supporting organizations, with particular emphasis on sustaining mid-career artists beyond their initial emergence. Can’t believe this Asia trip is already coming to an end. It’s been such an inspiring and energizing one, made even more special by the old and new friends who shared it with me.

It's incredibly humbling, considering we're nobody in compare to others in this list. Nonetheless, we're deeply passionate about our community and the untold stories waiting to be shared.
