With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our dear friend and talented artist, Evelyn Politzer, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Evelyn accompanied us through many of our exhibitions, sharing not only her extraordinary talent but also her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. Through her beautiful textile creations and organic threads, she proudly represented her homeland, Uruguay, touching the hearts of everyone who experienced her art.
Sweet, calm, and deeply inspiring, Evelyn leaves behind an unforgettable legacy woven through every piece she created and every life she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her artistry and light will continue to guide and inspire us.
We extend our deepest condolences to her loving husband, who always stood proudly by her side during exhibitions and artistic journeys, and to her beloved children and family during this difficult time.
Rest in peace, dear Evelyn. Your organic threads will continue harmonizing our souls forever.
Healing Goddesses III, Resilient 2026
Honoring the healing power of women, not only their resilience in overcoming challenges and achieving their dreams, but also the essential role they play in shaping our society.
Through the powerful vision of the selected artists and the emotional depth expressed so eloquently in their work, Healing Goddesses continues year after year to inspire and captivate audiences across Greater Miami.
Presented as part of the City of Doral’s Women’s Month celebration this past March, the exhibition was made possible thanks to the support of The Miami Foundation, the council members, the Mayor of Miami-Dade County, and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
Celebrating art, resilience, femininity, and the transformative power of culture.

Each year, we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month by honoring the work, strength, and vision of immigrant women artists who now call Miami home.
In 2026, our central theme was resilience, a powerful thread that connects stories, cultures, and generations. This year, we selected artists whose work reflects processes of transformation, perseverance, and renewal, showing how art can become a meaningful vehicle for healing, resistance, and rebuilding.
Throughout history, women artists have challenged social, cultural, and economic barriers to claim their place in the art world. From those who once had to hide behind pseudonyms to gain recognition, to those leading contemporary movements today, their legacy is a testament to courage and determination.
Today, more than ever, we celebrate their voices, their stories, and their impact. Because every piece of art tells a story of resilience, and every artist is a force for change.
