A little over half a year ago, I was working at Boulder Parc when a stranger politely asked for some help. He wanted to know the colour of the photo he was editing. To my surprise, he was a professional photographer and happened to be colour blind. I was in awe when I saw his work, particularly the pieces he captured on film.
Later, he introduced me to his friends Yasmeen and Wes, who are not only incredibly talented but also profoundly passionate about photography and film. Alex, Yasmeen, and I wove ideas together for a film shoot revolving around the concept of love and loss, with elements of surrealism. If you’ve been following my journey thus far, you must know how relevant these themes were to my life at the time. The whole experience was cathartic, to say the least.
Originally, we envisioned a bed on the beach from a script I had written for a short film. Logistically, we couldn’t make it happen, but from this limitation, something cool happened. The trio crafted something that resembles a reflection of a past dream. Even in the freezing cold, everyone was unwavering in their dedication to capture the shots.
Probably the most fun photoshoot I've ever participated in.
Thank you for accompanying me on this beautiful, wild journey that is life
Some shots from the Franconia Ridge Loop hike we did today, 13.9km with 1200m elevation gain was probably one of the more difficult hikes I’ve done so far but had great views. Shot on #Sony A7Cii with the 28-60mm kit lens & 1/8 black mist diffusion filter.
a couple more shots from downtown last weekend, really like the balance of light/dark on some of these and got super lucky timing on some of the subjects. Shot on portra 100 & 400 / Nikon F3
