Story:-
My initial competitive career was entirely MMA, minus a one off appearance in Ground Control back in the day!
Once I retired from MMA, and predominately focussed my training on grappling, I got the itch back to compete.
This after a competitive hiatus of around 9 years, and I was confronted with a fairly strange circumstance-
I was a brown belt, who had never competed in the gi 🥹 the imposter syndrome was real, and I genuinely had nerves at the thought of coming back.
‘Does it frighten you? That is why you must do it’ -Kratos (this game has some great pearls of wisdom, this being one of them)
So I took the plunge to enter Empire.
The organisation literally helped me to find my confidence in competing again, make friends along the way and build a home for my team to take their first steps into competition too.
I also have a nice medal rack of silver medals 😂 and a few bronzes- one day the elusive gold will be there.
Did get an absolutely 🤌🏼 trophy though off a superfight so it kinda counts 🤷🏻♂️
So I’ll always have their back 💪🏼 see you matside!

Dosed up on some pain meds for this old man neck and hopped into the @combatbaseopen because I wanted to test myself against an opponent who has proven very very hard to beat 😂
Got yeeted and folded like a pretzel but managed to do enough good stuff in between to win a decision. Then hopped out of the division and took more painkillers and went back to reffing 😂
