When The World is Destroyed (This artwork is an ecological post-apocalyptic surrealist illustration) In the midst of a world that collapses due to nuclear war and human greed, a botanist named Gema has prepared himself long before the apocalypse occurs. He built an underground laboratory bunker that functioned as a “ark” storing grains, plant tissues, microorganisms, and genetic experiments designed to create new food sources for mankind. When a nuclear explosion annihilates civilizations and the earth’s surface is filled with deadly radiation, Gema becomes one of the survivors. Isolated in a laboratory that completely depends on an artificial ecosystem, he survives with his engineered plants that are able to grow without natural sunlight and purify toxic air. However, silence is the biggest threat.
