I had the pleasure of jumping into post-production marketing on this haunting short film, shot by John Goellner in Albion, Victoria on a dark and very spooky Saturday afternoon. There’s something seriously unsettling in the air with this one — the cinematography pulls you in, the storytelling creeps under your skin, and the special effects makeup and performances bring it all to life in the most chilling way. Rebecca Margaret Hines is a Melbourne-based filmmaker from the Southeastern suburbs with a lifelong foundation in the performing arts. She has been involved in theatre and dance since early childhood and later became a professional dancer in her early twenties, developing strong discipline, stage presence, and creative expression that now inform her work in film. Rebecca also has a professional background in cosmetology, beauty therapy, makeup, and special effects, bringing a versatile and detail-oriented skill set to every production she works on. Her film journey reignited in 2017, beginning as an extra before progressing into hair and makeup roles. Through dedication, professionalism, and a genuine passion for the craft, she was given opportunities to move into producing and acting. As a producer, Rebecca has won nine International Best Comedy Short Film awards and has received Best Short Horror Film at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival for “Coming Home.” She has also won Best Comedy Short Film at numerous film festivals for “That’s Right.” Most recently, she completed producing her first feature film, “The Reluctant Hero.” In addition to her producing success, Rebecca is an accomplished actress recognised for her professionalism, on-screen presence, and commitment to authentic storytelling. She is known on set for maintaining high professional standards and clear, non-negotiable boundaries that support a respectful and focused working environment. An all-round filmmaker, Rebecca works across producing, acting, and creative collaboration.
