Khumbu Icefall 🏔️
A timelapse from 2024 that I never knew I had.
The icefall is one of the most dangerous sections of the entire climb: a constantly shifting glacier of towering seracs and deep crevasses, always moving, always changing.
Massive respect to all the Icefall Doctors, who risk their lives to make this passage possible for climbers each year. Wishing everyone up there right now a safe passage!
Ps want to see more of the route? Got the whole thing covered apparently 😅

6 months ago today we made it to the top of Kanchenjunga (3rd highest peak in the world).
Sometimes you just gotta go for it. A few days after climbing Makalu, I decided to attempt Kanchanjunga too. Not realizing that this would be one the most challenging 8000ers I’d be climbing, I signed up and went for it.
If I had known we’d be climbing in 50km per/hr winds, perhaps I would have reconsidered. If I had known how long the summit attempt would be, perhaps I would have delayed the climb for another season - until I felt “ready”.
Sometimes you just gotta go for it, and take a leap of faith. This is where the magic happens.
My mantra on 8000m peaks and in life: step by step. Nothing more nothing less.
Each imperfect step reveals the next. No matter the challenge, no matter the uncertainty - keep moving forward.
Step by step, and you’ll get there. Step by step, and that’s how the highest of mountains are climbed.

“Technique and ability alone do not get you to the top; it is the willpower that is the most important. This willpower you cannot buy with money or be given by others... it rises from your heart.”
90 days ago, I took my first steps towards the summit, overwhelmed with anxiety and nerves. But I was driven by my commitment. I was going to show up! Today, I cherish the memory of standing at the highest point on Earth, filled with gratitude. Thank you #sagarmatha
How many layers do you count?
You can take the girl out of the desert, but you can’t take the desert out of the girl.
