A city is built on organised forgetting. The workers pour the concrete and disappear. The city moves in and forgets.

It’s strange how something can look the same, and still not feel like yesterday.
Tried shooting the moon tonight from my window, with very high ISO and curiosity. The grain gave it a film look I didn’t expect, but somehow it feels right.
Not every portrait is a mirror.
Some are maps drawn not to capture a face,
but to trace the quiet places time has touched.
The stillness isn’t absent,
it’s the memories learning to breathe.
What looks like loneliness,
is often just space,
held open for something not yet arrived.
In the end, it wasn’t about resemblance.
It was about realisation.
About seeing not who you are,
but how far you’ve come.

“Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”
-Fyodor Dostoevsky
