🌊 Hilton College Scuba Club 🌊 Hilton College’s Scuba Club was proudly revived last year, and already 16 boys have completed their Open Water certification, with several others advancing through their Advanced Diver courses. The club’s mission goes beyond diving: it’s about inspiring a deeper appreciation for our oceans while developing independence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Through these experiences, our boys gain not only confidence underwater, but also valuable life skills. Each term, we explore the world-famous Aliwal Shoal, and our calendar also includes exciting trips such as Sodwana over some half terms. The highlight of the year is our unforgettable Red Sea adventure in Egypt — featuring a 7-day liveaboard and 3 days in Dahab, diving iconic sites like the Blue Hole and the Canyon. (A few places are still available for those keen to join this incredible experience!) What makes our Scuba Club truly special is that it’s open not only to Hilton boys but also to families and friends of the Hilton community, creating a shared love for the ocean across generations. For more information about the club or to join an upcoming trip, please contact: [email protected]

⚽️ Hilton College's Soccer Department was privileged to host professional coach and 1996 AFCON winner Eric Tinkler recently. Over two and a half days, the professional footballer and coach worked closely with our players and coaching staff, sharing valuable technical and tactical insights both on and off the field. He was joined by former professional player and coach Andile “Sguda” Cele, who represented South Africa at U20 and U23 level before playing professionally. As Director of Soccer Celo Mbanjwa says, opportunities such as this are hugely valuable for our boys, giving them a real sense of what the professional game demands, while learning from international pros who have been there and done it. An inspiring and invaluable experience for all involved. 🙌

🎶 Zipho's journey to A Cappella Academy 2026! 🎶 Zipho Dzanibe, one of Hilton College’s most talented musicians, has been selected to attend the prestigious A Cappella Academy in Los Angeles! Out of more than 1,000 applicants worldwide, only 80–90 singers were chosen and Zipho was selected for the Global Pop group, recognising his skill, dedication, and potential on an international level. The academy offers: • Advanced vocal and ensemble training • Songwriting and creative development • Music industry insight and mentorship • Daily rehearsals with world-class professionals Zipho’s musical journey includes the Drakensberg Boys Choir School, a music scholarship at Hilton College, Grade 8 qualifications in Voice and Jazz Piano, and mastery of multiple instruments. For him, music is more than performance, it is purpose, faith, and service. To attend the camp, Zipho needs support with travel and participation costs, and has set up a BackaBuddy campaign to help him reach this life-changing goal. By contributing, you’re investing in a calling, a dream, and a young South African representing our country with excellence. Whether through a donation, sharing this campaign, or offering encouragement, any support you give plays a meaningful role in Zipho’s journey and each gesture is received with gratitude! 👉 Support Zipho’s journey here: https://www.backabuddy.co.za/campaign/ziphos-journey-to-a-capella-academy-2026
