We had such a fabulous Mother’s Day at Hillside this past Sunday, and were reminded of how grateful we are for moms and mother figures who pour so much into their kids through prayers, encouragement, sacrifices, late nights, endless support, wisdom, patience, and unconditional love, all while helping point them toward Jesus in the everyday moments of life. 🩷💐
Have you ever felt like you had to hide parts of your story or keep pretending everything is okay? In John 4, Jesus meets a woman who felt empty, unseen, and ashamed – and reminds us that He still meets us in those same places with grace, truth, and real hope.
This past Sunday, Pastor Aaron explored Jesus’ powerful encounter with the woman at the well in John 4. Through grace and truth, Jesus met her shame, brokenness, and spiritual thirst with the promise of living water and lasting hope. We were reminded that a real encounter with Jesus never leaves us the same.

This Sunday, we’re celebrating all moms and mother figures who love, lead, encourage, and care so well. We also want to lovingly remember those spending this weekend missing a mom or someone who felt like one.

Join us at church as we honor the incredible women who make such a difference in our lives. Plus, enjoy sweet treats and fun photo opportunities just for moms! Join us at 8:30, 10, 11:30 a.m. or 5 p.m. Please note, there will be no dinner after the 5 p.m. this Sunday.

Our JHM Community Groups had their end-of-year celebrations this past Sunday and wrapped up a year of these students faithfully and consistently meeting in homes to grow in their faith and in community with one another.

As one Community Group leader, Aubrey, shared, "It’s been incredible to have a front row seat in their lives and to witness the sovereignty of our God in their hearts as it spilled out into the spaces they occupied each week. It has been inspiring to watch them yearn after the heart of our Father."

God is doing great things in our Student Ministries and we are grateful for the leaders and parents that are committed to stewarding the faith and discipleship of these students. Community Groups will continue in the fall!
Kids experience loss more than we realize – and most of us don’t feel prepared to help. Join our Care Ministry on May 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. for our "Helping Kids with Loss" Seminar and learn how to support them with honesty, care, and the hope we have in Jesus.

This past weekend, Pastor Aaron challenged us to move beyond a consumer mindset and rediscover God’s bigger purpose for the Church. Through Ephesians 3, we see that the Church isn’t about what we get – but about joining God’s mission in the world.
