The results are in on the BUN vs RRP carbon exhausts! 🤘🏼
This is why I am choosing to personally run BUN exhausts on all my skis. 💯
The only thing @highspeedind changed on the demo ski in these two videos of me riding it was the exhaust system (manifold from RRP to PFP, chamber & water box as seen in the video).
Both exhausts are wet chambers meaning water injected into the chamber with the exhaust gases, and somehow the BUN exhaust is able to still kick it in another gear and pull even harder off the wave! 🤩🤪
I can’t wait to see what this BUN carbon chamber does as we play with exhaust temps more! This is a complete off the shelf build. Pump gas, charging ignition DASA 1100cc, Novi 48mm carbs, in the LSP Revolver XL hull. 👊🏼

How hard could it be?
This rockstar customer of ours saw the flip videos on the internet and thought that same thing to himself. He’d ridden superjets occasionally, but never owned one. He was determined to get a flip ski and be the man doing backflips on the lake in AK! 😎
So, we built him a ski! Rickter XFS with a charging pump gas DASA 1100 and Skat 155 pump - plenty good setup! 👌
We finish the ski, it rips, and then we try to get him to come out to learn to flip before we ship the ski. Work, busy schedule, this and that kept him from coming down. We ship the ski, send how-to videos, and it sounds like he’s enjoying it. We finally ask a year later if he’s stomped that first flip yet out of the few hours a year they get to ride in AK, and we find out he hasn’t. The self teaching just wasn’t working.

We’re super stoked we finally got him to come out and in a couple days of riding the demo ski and making him crippled on the water, we at least got him comfortable with the flip motion. 💯 Next time he comes out he’ll be stomping it and we’ll be working on setup wakes! 😎
There’s so much technique to these flip skis and doing it right rather than just doing it. We advocate having a decent background in riding a superjet to get the hopping, sliding, and crap eating saves learned before transitioning to a flip ski - but to each their own! 😆
