It’s a dark, immersive journey that pushes cinema into sound system culture. 🚨 Guest Mix Alert 🚨 In with a fresh guest mix, SYMETREX linked up with High Note on this one. This mix warms up the ears with vibey selections, as the mix carries on the energy picks up and takes us on a trip to deeper realms. From lush soundscapes and jazzy elements to proper deep wobblers, this mix has it all. Big ups to @symetrex for coming through with a killer mix! Mix link in bio About the artist: Our scene will always need mad scientists like Symetrex, one of those guys who spends countless hours digging for new and better sounds. These efforts consistently yield a unique amalgamation of tribal rhythms, lush atmospheres, and constant low end pressure. Like any good scientist, Symetrex is equally aware of the intricacies of the musical process and the necessity to disregard them as boundaries.  Following these guidelines (or lack thereof) for more than nineteen years landed him a dj residency at Threshold and Dubbage, two of the longest running jungle and dubstep shows in Connecticut. There, the crowd’s response pushed him to delve deeper into crafting his own tracks, and to further sharpen his skills as a dj. Now residing in NC he continues to do just that.  As an artist’s work is never done, these days you’ll find Symetrex still digging, still experimenting, and still searching for progressive combinations of dubstep, drum and bass, wave and god knows what else to devise a rare and entrancing sonic journey.  SYMETREX has shared the stage and opened up for - Chef boyarbeats, Mythm, Zed’s Dead, G Rex, Ak 1200, Dara, Joe Nice, Megalodon and many more.  Affiliations - @downdeepproductions

🚨Guest Mix Alert 🚨 High Note linked up with @stoicofficialmusic for a fresh guest mix featuring many of his originals and IDs. This mix will get those feet moving and your head bouncing as he explores danceable grooves with a unique twist. As he navigates through vocals and sounds you know, Stoic brings a refreshing take on creative flips and does an incredible job melding different sounds and styles into incredibly cohesive tracks. About Stoic: Born and raised in the village of Southampton, New York, and now based by the shoreline of Carolina Beach, North Carolina; Stoic is a rising force in bass-driven electronic music. His sound draws on the contrast between his upbringing— growing up on classic rock (mostly Aerosmith), and early electronic music staples such as Daft Punk and Skrillex. Stoic’s journey started with making loops in Logic Pro in 2020 out of curiosity, leading him to study audio engineering through a recording mentorship school in Los Angeles, completing an intensive Ableton Electronic Music Program online while immersing himself in real-world production. Traveling the world connected him with artists, mentors, and underground communities who helped sharpen his perspective. Each encounter, each new scene, and each challenge became a reminder of a guiding principle of the philosophy he studies: “What stands in the way, becomes the way.” Stoicism helped him through many trials. Instead of avoiding difficulty, he learned to turn it into momentum—to push his sound further, take risks, and evolve without hesitation. From club-ready basslines to experimental textures, his music reflects the lessons he’s learned—discipline, curiosity, resilience, and the drive to keep evolving. Today, Stoic stands at the intersection of philosophy and sound, building a catalog that not only hits hard but tells a story. With new releases on the horizon and a growing fanbase, he continues shaping his identity as an artist who creates not just tracks, but experiences. Artwork by @interlude.visuals Mix link in bio

Join us tonight for our FREE pop up show at The Eagle’s Dare! We wanted to provide some more details for this event. We’d like to preface this post by saying that this event is a free form community event. We are creating the space and some structure but also want to leave a lot of this up to the people to help co-create. If you have art to display, flow items to lend, things to trade, gifts to give, etc.. and want to share with attendees of the event, please feel free to do so! The “social hour” will be from 7-8 and we will be playing a random selection of tunes along with kicking off the clothing swap. At 8, Knappi will be leading a 30 minute DJ workshop covering fundamental and intermediate DJ concepts. This will be followed by a 30 minute open question/skill share period. For the clothing swap, we will setup a dedicated table as a general area to facilitate this throughout the evening. We recommend that if you want to bring clothes to swap, to bring them in a tote bag or box so they can be more easily traded/looked through/kept organized. We have a full lineup for the open decks slots, starting at 9, and are happy to see some familiar names along with some new ones! There will be a couple of boxes setup for clothing and food donations. We also have some friends that will be setting up their vending booths as well. If you want to sell or trade items from a case or some type of smaller setup, you’re more than welcome to. For the art station, we have some fun coloring print outs and colored pencils provided. The activities listed on the flyer are by the community, for the community. If you have a calling to facilitate an art creation or help with the clothing swap or whatever it may be, all are welcome to bring their ideas! This is a space to create and bring ideas to life. We can’t wait to see what we come up with when we work together and express ourselves! Big thank you to @deependaudioproduction for providing sound, @damn_knappi for providing CDJs and leading the DJ workshop, and @jahva.wav for creating the flyer. Hope to see you there!
