Congratulations, Lauryn Christian Alexander! You are such a phenomenal woman! I am super proud of your accomplishments and of you! I had the honor of being Lauryn’s Sunday School teacher at @theparkchurchcharlotte from the time she was in 8th grade until she graduated high school. I let all of my students know I am here when you need me. Lauryn kept that connection. She stays in touch and keeps me updated. She kept going in school and set out to make history! She has done that in many ways. She became Miss Black West Virginia USA in 2025. She is the first Black woman to receive a Ph.D. in Forensic and Investigative Sciences from WVU. Now Lauryn is the first individual ever to hold both a Ph.D. in FIS and a J.D. graduating from law school today. She is a history maker who has preservered, studied, and finished! Spent Mother’s Day with @shana.byers.1 and Momma! We drove back home to Forest City to visit a few Mothers! We stopped by the house my great grandmother lived in for some memories! It was a great day!
