What happens when you’re no longer the only one observing?
In OTREDADES, a group of small robotic “dogs” enters the theater foyer every hour for a 30-minute encounter. Equipped with cameras, they wander through the space — observing, recording, and quietly disrupting the scene. Their presence is curious, playful, and just slightly chaotic. As they move among the audience, the line between observer and observed begins to blur.
OTREDADES invites you to pause — and to ask yourself: how much unpredictability are we willing to accept?

BEHIND THE MAKER: MYCOGRAVITY
What happens to life when gravity no longer behaves as expected?
In MycoGravity, pink oyster mushrooms grow inside a transparent bioreactor mounted on a moving robotic arm. By constantly shifting direction, the installation disrupts gravity — one of life’s most fundamental forces.
As the mushrooms grow, they adapt, twist and reshape themselves in unexpected ways, transforming the rotating bioreactor into a living, evolving sculpture.

Wat gebeurt er met leven als zwaartekracht zich niet meer gedraagt zoals we verwachten?
In MycoGravity groeien roze oesterzwammen in een transparante bioreactor op een bewegende robotarm. Door continu van richting te veranderen, verstoort de installatie de zwaartekracht — een van de meest fundamentele krachten van het leven.
Terwijl de zwammen groeien, passen ze zich aan, draaien en vervormen ze op onverwachte manieren. Zo verandert de roterende bioreactor in een levend, voortdurend evoluerend sculptuur.
MycoGravity en nog 30+ art & tech installaties waren onderdeel van Highlight Festival 2026.

WHERE ART, ROBOTS & A GOOD MEAL MEET
Vakwerkhuis is one of the three festival hubs of Highlight Festival. In and around Vakwerkhuis, you’ll encounter installations and works by Hrvoje Hiršl, Tomáš Libertíny, Project MARCH, Emergence Delft and the Robo-creaTUres Petting Zoo by TU Delft.
From 17:00, you can scan your ticket here and stop by the Highlight info point with all your questions. At 17:30, the festival comes alive!
Especially for Highlight Festival, Vakwerkhuis opens its restaurant in the evening for drinks and dinner. Alongside drinks and snacks, enjoy the Highlight Burger (Korean fried chicken, kimchi & gochugaru mayo, served with fries & mayo. Veggie option available.)
