Reflection is super important to your mental health and having a growth mindset. Reflection allows us to take a very big picture look at what we overcame, our small wins, and moments where we needed to grow. Kind of like someone else looking at your life from the outside. Reminders that hey you are strong or let’s not make this mistake again. A lot of it leads to seeing that everything works out in the end. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

Comparison is the thief of joy. Envy is the thief of joy. Comparison and envy can put these harsh and negative words in our minds that lower our self worth. I think there is a way where comparison is healthy to bring that motivation or set a goal. But when it starts to settle into envy is when things surely go south. Understand that your path is going to look different than others. There is no one path that is for everyone. Whether you are comparing money, looks, desires, etc., we have to understand that we are putting in the work and progressing. If we aren’t making any actions, what can we start with. Don’t let these two things take away your hard work, small wins, and your self-worth. #mentalhealth #personaldevlopment #podcast

“People see the glory, not the story” What a beautiful saying that changes our perspective when comparing ourselves to others. We only think of the glitz and glam and not all the struggle it took to get there. Remember that paths are different and someday whatever you are striving for will be yours with hard work and faith. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

I know what it feels like to feel flustered. To feel like everything on your plate feels like it’s the #1 priority and it needs a sense of urgency…but it doesn’t. Take a deep breath. Understand that all the things on your list will get done, it just doesn’t have to be all at once. Prioritize your items focusing on what’s the most important and most urgent. Write it down! Knock things out one by one. It’s valid to feel overwhelmed but you have the ability to combat that and get things done! #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

Letting go of the past can be difficult. If we feed those negative thoughts about our past a little less, it can turn us in the right direction to letting it go. I used to always listen to this podcast called, “The One You Feed”. The title is based off of a story about a grandfather telling his grandson about two wolves, representing good and evil. When asked which one wins, the answer is, “The one you feed”. This can be applied to our thoughts about our past. If we stop engaging with those thoughts and events, then they could grow weaker and make the ability to let go a bit easier. I’m not saying to ignore those feelings but if we take the time to not allow them to hurt us anymore, then it can be easier to let go. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

The “victim” mindset is one that will block you from becoming the highest version of yourself. It’s something that keeps you stagnant and not grow. Why? If we are saying “Why me?” or” Why so bad things always happen to me?”, we are letting go that ounce of control we have to turn things around. If we sulk and let time go by, we are only delaying our ability to turn a difficult time into a growth experience. Prime example: Nice guys finish last. This isn’t true. It’s just what some guys think when they don’t get the girl/partner they want and run away from understanding how to deal with rejection. Respond the best you can and ask what you need to learn from the negative experience. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

You are never in the struggle alone 🙏🏽❤️ Men’s mental health is getting better but I still feel like, myself, I have this constant urge to handle things on my own and not speak up. But when I do that I suffer more. Get those feelings out. Talk it through. It makes you stronger not weaker. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

How can you expect a different outcome if you’re doing the same thing? We have to reflect and disrupt our own patterns that are putting us in a direction that we don’t want to go in? Is it how I’m reacting to things? Is it what I’m putting in my body? We cannot get frustrated at the results if we know what to change but we don’t do it. Change what you’re doing to put yourself on the right path to building what you define as the highest version of yourself. #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast

“Take it one day at a time” Life throws us so many challenges to handle. Ones that make us feel like we are not enough. But we have to lean on our community and trust ourselves to pick ourself back up. Every day will look different and some days are harder than others. But we just got to keep moving forward and lean on those that we can for support. Much love to you all 🫶🏽 #mentalhealth #personaldevelopment #podcast
