Diving into the science of color remediation and active filtration in #cannabisextraction 🧑‍🔬
Segment taken from Higher Thoughts Ep. 10 w/ @shadownaught
So thankful for how far we’ve come in extraction safety since I first started. If you’ve been in this game long enough, you know! From open blasting, to C1D1 booths is a huge difference. Thoughts on this clip from Episode 10 w/ @shadownaught ?
What’s your thoughts on active filtration (color remediation) in #cannabisextraction? We dive into this and more on the latest episode of Higher Thoughts, featuring @shadownaught 🔥🔥🔥
Do you think cannabis will ever adopt the live social shopping trend?! Personally, I would love to see budtenders finding unique ways to sell online (during their slow hours) or for growers to presell from live streams! If only a platform existed that allowed that 🤔
🎬 Clip from Higher Thoughts Podcast Ep.09 - AI & Vibe Coding in Cannabis
I had my younger brother on the pod for the latest episode of Higher Thoughts to talk all things AI & Vibe Coding! We even vibe code a web app live on the episode, showcasing just how much you can do in a few hours time!
Is vibe coding something that interest you? I’m thinking about doing a series where I showcase various apps and tools that cannabis cultivators, processors, or retail shops could utilize (for free)
If this is something that interests you, lmk in the comment section and tell me what app you think needs to be made!

Have you ever formulated your own canna meds?! This was one thing I liked doing back when I was working out more consistently for post-workout recovery.

What’s your thoughts on the “Indica vs Sativa” debate? I totally agree with @canna_kybo on this one! My stance is that plant morphology doesn’t correlate to general effects (tall plant/narrow leaves = sativa = energy; short plant/broader leaves = Indica = sleepy).
The reason behind that is because of a few factors. First, storage conditions plays a massive effect on the rate of degradation products (mainly CBN) formed. Why is that important? Well, if I have a “sativa” that is stored improperly and all the D9THC converts to CBN, it is likely to be a much more sedating experience.
Beyond that, lighting conditions during the grow (and growing style in general) will change the plants morphology (look/stature). I can take clones of the same “indica” plant, and expose one to heavy red light and one to heavy blue light. The one exposed to red light will likely have longer internodal spacing, causing it to “stretch” and grow taller, mimicking a “sativa” structure.
So how do I estimate the potential effects of a certain strain? Purely based on CoA test results alone (and logging how certain cannabinoid/terpene profiles interact with my body differently).
Help dispel cannabis myths and tag someone you know that still uses “sativa” or “Indica” 👇👇👇
