@highcountrydancing and I met in a freestyle slotted j&j and had such a fun dance together. After the comp he asked me if I want to strictly in the advanced division and my face dropped as I am a baby intermediate. Let me just say it took Karl and my friends 2 days to convince me to strictly in the advanced division for country swing. As you can probably see the fear in my eyes as I was dancing next to all the people I look up too I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. Thank you Karl for believing in me and having the faith in me to not faint on that floor😂
In just a few days, I’ll be returning to the @theedgedanceevent (May 26–29), and it truly means a lot to be back.
It’s been 2 years since my last time there. In that time, there’s been growth, challenges, and a deeper appreciation for the dance and the community that surrounds it.
I’m looking forward to reconnecting, continuing to learn, and sharing the floor with so many talented dancers. Opportunities like this don’t come lightly, and I’m grateful to be a part of it again.
