Here's a rare view from the east side of the park π€πΌHigh flying @tweestopher and @kieranwoolley_ stopped by for a sesh and Tim snapped some rad shots - April 2023

This is the backside of the semi-fill-free banked bump to bump π€£
It'll be buried someday. We had plenty of extra concrete the last pour, and used it to make some flat areas to form onto later this year/2024. Big plans for the low side of the park ππΌ
Little bonus+connection pour here. Recycled the curved coping from the blue Vista bowl and it also came out pretty good! Experimented with some concrete coloring.. which wasn't the best result, I haven't used it again since then π
Decided against sealing the the park and still glad I didn't. It's fast and we can't afford it to be slippery, it's also foggy at night so the open concrete helps absorb that (and even some light rain) to keep the sessions going longer.
Started getting more creative and experimenting with design. Wanted a ledge by the A frame and this is what I came up with.
It's not level on purpose, I figured we needed something to encourage us to come back into the park vs slamming into the quarter or to the right side of it. Came put pretty good overall, and added some connecting banks to both sidea.
Couple more photos of the wild quarter pour... maybe an hour after some shouting "we're gonna lose it!!!" π±π π€£ spreading 7.5+ yards and hand stacking that quarter was a π€¬ but we came out on top πͺπΌπͺπΌ
Easy pour here, filled the A frame gap and embedded some leftover diy concrete coping from a blue backyard bowl that was demo'd. I bought their skatelite type sheets (for another project) and they threw in the coping for free. Was nice to find a use for them. Got to use some curved pieces on another pour in the park too.
Some may know the prior owner of the coping, was a blue backyard bowl in Vista build by the built to shred guy.Jeff King.
Cleaned up the Q and had a try at laying some tile at the top. No experience here and it came out a bit wavy, but good enough. Huge coincidence that the homie Jimmy had, and donated his 3 coping blocks and they were the exact width that was needed.
Got a time lapse somewhere but kind of rushing to catch up here. 7.5+ yards and two and a half dudes spreading it.. I say 2.5 cause my homie in photo showed up half way into it π but he saved the day none the less.
Notice the bonus on the side of the quarter, the idea in general was planned for another day but we had extra concrete (I never do the math..) and in quick decision we went for it and had to bury the form. I know it's a bad idea to bury wood but we were fighting to survive AND not return concrete in the truck. It came out okay and cleaned up well. We survived the batlle... barely π
