Whenever I’m having a wobbly day…I think of the lovely things you have said in the shop, and it changes my perspective. So thank you, for all of the kind things you’ve said in the shop, and about the shop - it really does make all the difference. Open 11 - 4 today x

It’s March! Welcoming March with open arms. How glorious is it to feel the sun on your face, see the light at the end of the day, daffodils lining the roads and have the air punctuated with bird song at 6pm. We’ve filled the shop with Spring and can’t wait to see it unfold in nature as the days get lighter…and warmer. The shop is back open on Wednesday - Sunday this week, full of lots of lovely goods to embrace the change in season. With Mother’s Day & Easter on the horizon there’s occasions to celebrate, gather and enjoy 🌼

Open 10-5 today and the shop is filled with some truly lovely handmade, artisan goods from local makers in the south west of the UK, and further afield. Plus, I’ve started adding in of my vintage finds, like those stunning plates which I’m a bit sad about selling 🤣 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, whatever you’re up to! x

It’s the end of another week, and two shopkeepers who share a building down a pretty cobbled street in Bath realise they won’t be in at the same time for 4 WHOLE DAYS… 🥺😆 — Idea completely stolen from brilliant Bristol indie, @foxandfeatheruk xx

As we prepare for our next guest to join us, we thought we’d show you the time we made @jess_elliott_dennison her madeleines for her to try! Watch the whole episode on our YouTube channel ‘On the Bench’ A series where we sit and chat to independent creators, makers and business owners, on our lovely little bench outside our shops in the beautiful city of Bath. Link for the full episode can be found in bio - stay tuned for episode 6, coming soon!

Slides from our time in Bordeaux 🇫🇷 We went to visit La Brocante des Quinconces - a flea that takes place twice a year and runs for 10 days in the centre. Here are some things I spotted (mostly chairs), things that inspired me and some of the items I took home and will be making their way into the shop quite soon. Which would have come home with you? Bonus points to anyone that can tell me what the item on slide 19 does! x

With a background in events and theatre, opening a shop wasn’t a career move that was on Natasha Whiting’s radar. But when the opportunity came along she grasped it with both hands, and now can’t imagine doing anything else. Her shop - @hiddenstorebath - provides the chance for creativity every day & she loves working with independent makers & designers, as well as hosting in-store workshops. Find out more about her journey to shop keeping over on our blog.

Stills from scenes at home this week that have made me smile ☕️ Our house remains in a state of chaos whilst the ceiling in the kitchen is repaired, plastered, filled and repainted after falling down during the holidays. It’s meant we have had to clear the whole of the bottom floor to try to shield from the dust - it’s not major and always gives a healthy dose of perspective (and therefore also immense gratitude.) It’s also meant I’ve stumbled upon a handful of little stripped back segments that have made me stop & smile. Some vintage homeware in amongst the handmade plates, jugs and decorations that never come down.
