I know we talk a lot about platinum/palladium around here, but we are also always up for a good old fashioned day in the silver gelatin darkroom too! Working on a series of prints for @paulapinkphotography today
Some seriously difficult to print images (that is a LOT of continuous tone) for my man @kellen.macdonald - going up in his VA gallery soon! Video coming to the HL channel when we get the edit finished. Platinum/palladium from 12x12” to 24x36” 🤓
Crazy big prints and I don’t even get any vertical footage for IG. Dangit. Check out the YouTube channel to see how we made these monster Pt/Pd prints.
For anyone who is curious about the platinum/palladium process, my online masterclass is currently on special for $800 off, and will probably save you approximately 7 headaches, 3 sleepless nights, and $700 in wasted chemistry and paper. That’s just a guess though.
What is a good way for me to give away some prints? I’ve tried it on youtube, but that never worked. I want to print a sweet body of work for someone for free. How would you go about choosing that person or body of work?
Today I launched my online Pt/Pd masterclass, a project nearly two years in the making, with the goal of making a workshop-style learning experience possible for people who don’t want to travel all the way to my studio in Indiana to work one-on-one with me. Link in bio, as they say. Also, huge shoutout to @alexnilles_photography for making it possible and doing the heavy video work required to pull this off.
Such a blast making prints for @abarringtonevans - he shot this image of the man @drandallblythe for a seriously cool project. A couple of these Pt/Pd prints will be for sale - along with an edition of silver gelatin!
