This garden is an absolute haven and sanctuary to work in and spend long lazy days and evenings. Never want to leave it behind for too long as it’s such a happy place 🌸
After loosing our first colony of bees the new Queen and her hard working family have rewarded @hiddenbyron with her first jar of honey 🍯 and we are so excited. Nothing feels as good as this ..!
Ever since I got back from India last year I place marigolds (known as Genda) throughout my home. The colour of vibrant sunshine they add a pop of colour to any space but they also embody purity, strength and new beginnings. @hughjonesjustine

First time at the Byron Writers Festival in Banglaow and absolutely loved the whole experience. Listened to the most moving emotional interview with Trent Dalton @trentdaltonauthor by Julia Baird @juliabaird . Author of the brilliant books, Boys Swallows Universe and Lola in the Mirror, Trent opened up his heart wide to expose personal truths from his books about himself and his family. Julia was a compassionate interviewer herself a brilliant authoress of her own books, Phosphorescence is a personal favourite . We also listened to the brilliant journalists Nick Bryant @nickbryantnyc and John Lyons from the ABC discuss the Middle East crisis and the state of the world political stage during the mega election year. All thought provoking and top level speakers. Then there were of course all the touching warm stories of life,love and loss that flow through writers festivals. We have been worrying about our bees as we aren’t always there to check on them as well as being total beginners . When we left them last time there were ants invading the hive…but what an experience to open it up today and discover all these healthy happy bees. They have started to make honey and it takes on the flavour of the nearby trees that they have visited @hidden Byron. We have pink bloodwood gums that produce this delicious dark almost caramel like stringy honey. We were both in total awe experiencing this today ….🐝🐝I am also in awe of how calm Paul is ! I think we must have very chilled Byron bees.
