We are excited to introduce the 2025 Nisei Week Foundation President, Helen H. Ota!
Growing up in Southern California, Helen has been connected to Nisei Week for many years and even previously served as president in 2008. Through the years, she has witnessed the way our community has always shown up to celebrate our rich heritage and continues to persevere, together. It is because of this that Helen has selected the theme “kansha” (E), or gratitude, for this year’s festival.
The 2025 Nisei Week Japanese Festival will take place from August 9-17 and we hope you can join us as we express our gratitude to those who have continued to make this festival possible!

JUST ADDED TO THE LINEUP 🎉: Zandi De Jesus, Andy Lowe, Nisei Week President Helen Ota, and EWP Artistic Director Lily Tung Crystal— performing (yes, you heard right) along with the rest of the amazing cast of Crazy Talented Asians: Homecoming!
